UkMustangFan, I completely respect you view on this, I really do. How would you determine how to hold a youth accountable for bad decisions such as this one. You must agree than age/maturity are a factor to take into account? Perhaps not?

The funny thing is you two share my views on it, as does Spindoc, but I'm the one that gets asked if I have a daughter, as if that's some kind of qualification to be able to have an opinion on the subject. :lol2: :idunno:

Is it a factor? Sure it is. That's why we have things such as juvenile detention centers. She 100% knew what she was doing, and by all accounts was the mastermind behind the whole thing. She needs to spend the rest of her childhood in a detention center.

Where did I say anything even close to that? I said she needs to spend the rest of her youth in a detention center. She obviously can't, and won't be, charged as an adult. That doesn't mean she isn't as much, if not more, to blame than he is.

Well, clearly. Our court system is pretty clear the difference in punishments for minors compared to adults.

 

I will never buy into the "she's an innocent victim" line of thinking that many in this thread have used. She knew darn well what she was doing, and needs to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law (yes, that means however a minor is dealt with in these situations).
