January 13, 201511 yr Yes, he has to be back. He is only a sophomore and not a redshirt sophomore so he has to return for 1 more year. Thats why I think it will be true that Elliott and whoever is the starting QB for the Buckeyes will be at the top of the Heisman list going into the season. January 13, 201511 yr I think it took A major hit. He looked very bad in the pocket and his arm did not look all that strong. I also have never liked him as a NFL starting QB.
January 13, 201511 yr Mariota opened the door to come back and Cardale opened the door to leave. Mariota will leave almost for certain, Cardale will probably come back. Nothing more, nothing less than that.
January 14, 201511 yr Shouldn't hurt him. Lost some big WRs over the year and his TE. He also had some big drops as well. Mariota will be a good NFL QB, but a team has to be smart. Don't put a square peg in a round hole. If a team expects him to play 100% old fashioned football they need to select a different QB. I would love for him to end up with Chip Kelley.
January 14, 201511 yr Mariota will be a good if not great NFL quarterback. Mark my words. Without a doubt I believe this. The team has to fit to his style of play for him to flourish though.
January 14, 201511 yr I respect Greg Cosell's opinion and he questions Mariotta's ability to be an NFL QB. Maybe it's best that he does fall to the Eagles.
