Considering the games themselves are largely won in the conditioning room, why not? Heard Sandlin broke the SK record for power clean at 310. What is the power clean record at your school?????

FYI, I have seen some huge, very impressive young men who can lift a house, yet weren't very good football players. Yes, Wts. and Cond. are very important, but don't turn this into who can left more, so there the better football team. BTW I think Sandlin is a very good football player.

LOL, You do realize that almost a 3rd of Armstrong's rushing yards came against 2 teams, Grant County, and Anderson County, almost 600yds rushing, Both teams combined gave up over 4,100 yds. rushing, so YES, had England or Powell played against these two teams, I think both would have had more yards. I'll make it easy on you, if you had to take two of these 3 RB's who are you taking. I guarantee you more people will take England and Powell as there combo, over any combo with Armstrong, who is a very nice running back, but the question was who are the 2 best RB's in NKY this season, again I'll go with England and

Powell every time. I understand you're a Cooper supporter, which is fine, but you've got your rose colored glasses on for this discussion, which is fine. :thumb:

Lol, you do realize almost a 3rd of Powell's rushing yards came against 2 teams, Campbell and Madison Central

Here is sometehing for you. Both Powell and Armstrong played against NCC Powell only had 56 yds rushing against them while Armstrong had 136 rushing yds against them....hmmmm

As far as which backs I'd take, I'd take all 3 because 2 of them are glass and always hurt lol....you need Armstrong who is the smallest but the most durable

Point is we can play this game all day long. Anyone can spin numbers in their favor of an argument anytime they want that is why I simply use total rushing yards period because it tells what they did in the season. Don't worry, I'm not wearing any colored glasses, I'm just using facts.

When similar facts were presented for Alex Vennemann for Mr. Football, you quickly shot down those stats as not meaning much because he played 15 games and was the primary target of Beau Hoge. Now that the argument involves a Cooper player, the tune has changed and stats should really mean something because it supports your argument

No I didn't. I said he was a very good wr and one of the states best but the one knock I saw was the number of dropped passes which isn't kept as a stat.

I'm not the only one who commented on the amount of dropped passes as several HHS fans told me the same.

But as you said in this thread, stats do not lie. The kid had 95 receptions which was way more than anyone else in the state and you tried to discredit that with your arguments of why maybe he was not a first team all state player.

When SK played NewCath Powell played only a handful of plays it was his first game back from injury.

Then you misunderstood what I was saying. I said the only knock with V was the number of dropped passes which were many. I never discredited the number of recpetions he had...shoot he set records. I didn't select any of the players on the all state team and was simply giving a posible reason for him not bing 1st team all state.

Hey I know where you are coming from. My son led the entire state in recpeptions his senior year thru the first 8 games of the 10 game regular season yet wasn't even on the all state team and this with only 2 drops the entire year, yet I know there were higher profile receivers that year and knew why he was left off...didn't have DI offers etc. It's just how it is.

Wait a second, JamesWilliamscat said that he didn't want to hear the number of carries excuse. Powell still had almost double the carries in that game than Armstrong had in the SK game in which he used as an example. So Powell had about the same amount of carries in the NCC game as Armstrong had in the SK and Dixie game combined. If he wants to use SK and Dixie game against Armstrong then he can use the NCC game for Powell where he played several series.

No he didn't the kid from Bellevue did.

Powell touched the ball 7 times against NewCath and lined up mostly in the slot.

So what is your point? He touched the ball a total almost of Armstrong in the SK and Dixie game combined.

Yea I guess Highlands will drained of star power this coming year.

The Birds don't rebuild. They RELOAD!! You would be a fool to think next season when SK plays Highlands that all this trash talking you keep doing won't catch wind into the Birds locker room! They will take all these shots personal an try to put 80 up on SK!

Not sure about power clean but Gage Tucker Sophomore at Scott broke school record for squatting. He is 6'4 300 and squatting 550 and benching 325 at 15 years old. Size 20 shoe . Not finished growing .

Ok- you've posted this a few times - we get it

Huh??? I said one kid. Mills. Who by the way is a very good player. But I can understand how most of NKY doesnt know that because they don't play HHS.

My post for this is in explanation why Abner might have been placed on second team in the other polls. Didn't say anything about him not being on this one. If I were on the committee, you'd have to earn a spot.

And btw...pot meet kettle!

Ironic you say this RC because the other day I asked the young man what he thought about not being considered an All Stater let alone local awards and if he thought his season ending injury had any impact and his response was...

"I didn't deserve to be on those teams, I didn't finish the season"

Darn kids :thumb:
