January 7, 201511 yr He's the Governor of New Jersey, where the Giants and Jets play. The Giants are rivals with the Cowboys. I'm sure that explains some of the hatred from Giants fans. It's kind of like if the mayor of Lexington was a huge Louisville fan and was always spotted celebrating in their boxes, etc.
January 7, 201511 yr 1. Anyone that thinks the NFL, or MLB, NBA, NHL, is scripted or "fixed" is insane and not worthy of the time it takes to debate it. 2. 1 call does not decide games. Yes they are part of it but no 1 single call decides the outcome. If it did why play the other 59 mins. As a team don't put yourself in a position to let 1 call have that much impact. The lions were up 14-0 after the first quarter and lost the remaining 3 quarters 24-6 and people want to argue one call. Did that call cause the Lions to punt the ball 10 yards? Did is cause them to give up a TD on a 59 yard 11 play drive? Did it cause them to give up a sack resulting in Stafford fumbling the ball on their last drive? The call happened causing the Lions to punt with 8:10 left in the game (more then half of the 4th quarter). And were supposed to buy that a call with over 8 minutes left in the game decided the out come?

January 7, 201511 yr Yes. There were 4 missed penalties on the play, one of which were on the lions. Tell me again how Lions were hosed?
January 7, 201511 yr There were 4 missed penalties on the play, one of which were on the lions. Tell me again how Lions were hosed? President Barack Obama says he would be 'pretty aggravated' if he were a Detroit Lions fan - ESPN Obama told The Detroit News in an interview Tuesday that he couldn't remember a case in which a referee's "good call" was "reversed without explanation."

And this has what to do with it? Pettigrew should have been called for illegal hands to the face but wasn't. So again, how were the Lions hosed?
January 7, 201511 yr Now you're using President Obama to support your argument? I think at this point you're just trolling.
January 7, 201511 yr I also watched the 49ers get eliminated from the playoffs by a terrible roughing the passer call. I've watched probably 10 games this season that were altered by terrible officiating. The NFL is awful these days. I'm not torn up about it at all. I could care less about either team. I'm just trying to make the point that it is what it is. Even the NFL agrees that the Lions were hosed so I can't understand why there are some who refuse to admit it? Because some on here, and the NFL evidently, refuse to admit the Cowboys got hosed as well in that game. I posted pictures of two of them, surely your eyes don't lie to you. No one cares and the reason is easily clear. People love to hate the Cowboys, which I have always loved and gotten such a kick out of the hatred. Part of why I'm such a fan.
January 7, 201511 yr The difference is they didn't call that penalty, announce it, then reverse the call.I don't care. It means nothing. They reversed it for a good reason. Again, the Lions got 6 they shouldn't have gotten, but that's football.
January 7, 201511 yr What they're saying: The Detroit Lions got hosed and everybody knows it | MLive.com

No mention from "Obama the fan" about the facemask missed on the Lions or the hold on the Lions that resulted in a TD for the Lions. Yep, he's as consistent as he is on politics.
January 7, 201511 yr Now you're using President Obama to support your argument? I think at this point you're just trolling. If it was bad enough that the President said something publicly, it was pretty bad.
January 7, 201511 yr So let's get this straight... There was a pass interference/defensive holding on Dallas on the play. There was an offensive hands to the face on Detroit, and in Wireman's world that equates to Detroit got screwed? Worst case scenario is they should've replayed the down.
