January 1, 201511 yr ...who is? With the SEC hate that we have seen on the board after the bowl games on New Year's Eve, I am curious as to whom folks would rank ahead of the SEC. What are folks conference rankings?

January 1, 201511 yr Doesnt look promising, but Im not ready to give anyone anything as of yet. There is still alot of ball left to play. The SEC got battered today (in the state of broken eggs.) The LSU game was truly the only disappointing game by the SEC in retrospect. Still kudos to TCU and the option attack of Ga Tech. Ole Miss was completely unprepared to take on the high stakes game. I think Miss State was ready and played as well as they could. Both teams just got taken to the wood shed. As a friend of mine says to me all the time, "the other teams practice too". Same with the other conferences and the SEC. If anything the stature and success of the SEC is driving some other leagues to get with it. There is a lot of money to be made for entire conferences in the bowl season along with the prestige that goes along with it. There is a lot of good football out there and its about time other conferences are stepping up, which they have done thus far.

January 1, 201511 yr Louisville and Miami are not good teams. Most teams making it to bowl games are good win or lose; others are better and some are a lot better.
January 1, 201511 yr All I know is that there are several ESPN along with some national radio show host, message board "so called" experts that are glad that they are off work today (if they are). ESPN may have to go off the air should OSU win tonight.
January 1, 201511 yr Author Who won it all last year! How does this address my question? Is the same Florida State team from last title game playing in this bowl season? I didn't bring up the seven national champs from the SEC prior to last year because I feel that doesn't provide relevance and, frankly, is very difficult to argue against if you are objective. If your premise is titles define best conference, I can debate that. So if Alabama wins this year, does this mean that the SEC is the best- you can fill in with the Big 10 or Pac 12, for that matter?

January 1, 201511 yr SEC is down this year, so enjoy everyone...maybe the SEC is about to go on a long slide downward and some other conference can run off ninety bazillion titles in a row.
