Also heard that Tyler for Boyle was sick with a stomach bug or something. Sure didnt seem himself. Anyone know for sure if that was the case? If so, then if I'm Lex Cath I wouldn't be overly excited about their win considering the imbalance of the schedule and Tyler's possible illness.

 

Yes. Stomach bug hit him pretty hard in the last 12 hours. He did all he could do. I'm proud of him and the entire team. They've had a great week and gained some great experience at this tourney.

Obviously those of you who are critical of the bracket have never attended this tournament before. Every year they have around 20 teams. Every year Lex Cath has the easiest draw. I don't think you'll find many teams who will host a tournament and stack the field against themselves.

We'll I have been to this tourney before but don't remember it ever being that blatant. So OBVIOUSLY some of us are aware that teams stack the deck...

I think it was assumed Cov Cath or Apollo would be playing Lex Cath. Boyle was probably not considered to be a factor. It would have been the 3rd game for those schools.

Yeah but NO TEAM in the tournament had the obstacles or the bracket that Boyle County had this weekend. And that's cool. We don't like LexCath and they don't like us. Neither school will do the other school any favors and we are all cool with that. Maybe one day we'll see LexCath again on a neutral court and we'll have had equal rest, equal obstacles and healthy players and then we'll see a better game.

 

Side note: every team that Boyle County played in the tournament has won the rest of their games in the tourney.

I think a Henderson County fan was removed right after the second half started. Lots of commotion in the upper part of the Boyle side and it looked like Henderson County colors in the area. Not sure what happened there either.

Tanner Johnson was just ridiculous on the offensive end. LexCath as a team was on fire in the first half. While they did hit some open shots, they also hit some tough, challenged shots.

 

Boyle County is really talented & they're going to be a force in the 12th. Just ran into a buzz-saw tonight.

Tanner Johnson was otherwordly tonight. Unconscious.

 

Jarod Griffin played a great game also. He hit some tough shots as well and that shouldn't go unnoticed.

Should I post the video of Hinkle getting an intentional foul for falling down and then getting back up?

^ - I see more of 2 technical fouls (1 on each player) vs 1 intentional foul.

 

I think nothing was going to get called until Talbot was agitated during the unpiling and got animated. Hinkle seemed to leverage the scrum to roll over Talbot.

 

So the for sake of keeping order a dual technical may have been a better call - from a Tuesday morning, not in attendance view.
