I don't think it should because he was allowed to play by the KHSAA when he played. After his eligibility was called into question and he was ruled ineligible he no longer suited up for them. I think the only way games would be affected is if he played while being ruled ineligible.

 

I'm just guessing though and I could be wrong.

Hold up!! Let me make sure I'm reading this correct. A kid left Harrison County basketball program to play at Scott County. He played a few games with Scott and was later ruled ineligible. Then he moved back to Harrison County and he is back on the team and eligible to play?

Is'nt this about a total mess,,the parents and kid tried to beat the system, were found guilty and now being rewarded, I guess this is the American way..

It just depends on your vantage point. It's easy for us to sit here not knowing all of the facts to his situation and whine about whether or not he should be allowed to play. At the end of the day someone with more authority and knowledge to his situation has allowed him an opportunity to be able to play and in doing so fences had to be mended and bridges had to be rebuilt. Like I said earlier, if he and his coach at Harrison County can move on the rest of us should do the same and we can all learn something from them.

Didn't an AAU coach get hired by Scott County this year that has not worked for them in the past? And isn't this same AAU coach DJ's AAU coach? And yes Coach Kendall owns the rental property and they are still living there. Hate it for all involved. Jenkins was a POY candidate in the 10th and his team top 3. Now he isn't playing. Still KHSAA has stunk up another situation because you never know what they are going to do.

 

Scott Co. has no new coaches that I saw against Lafayette the other night. Same coaches they have had for years.

Just curious how this is a warped perspective. I mean he went to Scott Co and did not do it properly and was ruled ineligible. Now if this was a living situation or whatever, it is not like the coaches involved don't know the rules. You have to make sure it is all legit as an AD and coach. So they broke rules now they get to go back and act like they did nothing wrong and get rewarded by getting to play for the original team he left. I am sure the kid is a great kid and the parents were trying to do what they thought was best. But now a days kids think they can do whatever they want with no fall back or discipline. If this was Trinity or Lex Cath. they would have been blasted and called cheaters, etc. I am glad the kid gets to play because it sounds like he is a good kid, but our rules seem to be made for every loophole possible. More and more now a days it seems this way.

I will agree with you on the word guilty may be a little extreme. But I do believe what I said is correct about our culture of today.

Well, this story has gone full circle. DJ left Harrison County and went to Scott County. He played at Scott County until he was ruled ineligible. He then returned to Harrison County and is eligible to play there again.

 

Full circle and closure. Just like this thread.
