Owensboro 71 Bardstown 43

Tigers had no answer for Owensboro's size. Combine that with not hitting shots and not being able to set up the press and that made for a long night for Bardstown.

Good win for the Red Devils. I've seen some question Owensboro being a top 5 team. I don't know if this answer some of those questions but they at least get another chance to prove they belong on one of the biggest stages in the state.

I think we'll know Sunday if OHS can silence the critics. Either way, these holiday tourneys are a great chance for teams to find their weaknesses and work on them.

As well as play some quality competition that their region may not provide. Prepares teams for that March atmosphere.

Looks like I will be headed down for the game on Sunday to see Holman...

The Miller kid had the better game: 9-10 FG w/ 20 points at half, and he's a very good passer. A lot of Holman's action came after things had already gotten out of hand. I do like how he runs the floor and he's got good footwork and a nice touch out to 15' or so, but he needs stronger hands and about 20 lbs of muscle.

Aric has the higher ceiling as far as college career goes, but on a high school level Justin Miller is as dominate of a player as you will find. Hes gotten off to a bit of a slow start this year but he is a banger inside. The Devils will have their hands full on Sunday. Cant wait to see how they stack up.

With Miller's footwork and soft hands, I'm surprised he didn't play football. Would be a deadly TE.

We've been saying that since we first saw him!!

Miller averaged like 19-20 ppg last year. I think Holman only averaged like 13-14 ppg. If Miller was 6'7-6'8 with the same game and production he would be hearing from a ton of colleges. He has nice touch around the basket and uses his body well to be so big.

They both seem to pass quite well. Would love to see them running some hi-lo next time I see them. They did it a little bit last night but didn't really need to do a lot of set plays with the way the game went.
