December 21, 201411 yr Author Looks like it going to be too warm It will be early on Christmas Eve. The temps will start to drop when the cold front pass through some time mid to late morning. This map shows the outlook for the front to be in EKY around 1200z or 8 am Wednesday morning. The previous maps I posted in my last post are for Christmas morning. As I always say these are just outlooks this far out. I've looked at the info I use for my predictions and as of now it is showing a slight chance of snow later in the day on Wednesday. As I said I more than likely won't get a good read on the possible snow until Monday.

December 22, 201411 yr Author Just as I expected, the info I use is showing an increase of the chance for snow on Christmas Day. I want to see this afternoon's runs before I start making any accumulation predictions.
December 23, 201411 yr Author Looks like we are in for a wild ride weather wise on Christmas Eve. Temps may get into the low 60's by early afternoon. As of now it looks as if the surface low has jogged to the west and will past over WCKY. We now have a marginal risk of strong to widely scatter severe thunderstorms. After the system pass through Ky, the bottom is going to drop out of the temperature gauge. By later afternoon or early evening the temps will plummet to the mid to high 30's. We may see some wind damage out of this system and a weak short track tornado can't be ruled out. With this projected movement of the system it looks like little or no snow accumulation for Christmas Day.

December 23, 201411 yr Author Yep. too warm for snow. You should read my first post in this thread. I said there is a possibility that this storm may not form as the outlooks showed. Winter weather is much harder to predict that severe weather.
