Hey, it's his property. If he can put a totally healthy dog to sleep and kill it then he should be allowed to let a totally healthy dog fight to the death also. The dog is the property of the owner, right?

Bad logic. There are laws against cruelty and inhumane treatment against animals. Vick broke those laws, obviously.

You are missing the crucial legal point. Euthanasia is not cruel or inhumane like some of the other abuses discussed, particularly dog figting death match. Vick's celebrity probably bought him more scrutiny too.

There was more to Vick than just dog fighting. There were other crimes as well taking place.
