PP I think you may be right on the hangover thing.

I was told Southwestern came out flat and was overlooking East Jessamine. East Jessamine is back at full strength and bounced back nicely after getting mollywhopped by Lincoln County.

 

This game shows us all that this year in the 12th Region you better bring it every night or you could get embarassed.

 

I think Southwestern is the better team.

 

I think East Jessamine is better than anticipated when at full strength.

 

I'm not sure I can call Southwestern the best team in the 12th Region today but they are still a top 4 team for sure.

Well..... I'm not saying nothing else about this region. March can't come fast enough. Like PP said, you better bring it every night when you play region games this year. Wow!

SW may of got a dose of their own medicine? East Jessamine I'm sure knocked down their fair share of 3's in this one but hangover or not this is surprising. East played last night as well..

Camryn Jones with 23, Rashawn Jackson 21, & Hayden Smith 19 for EJ.

Was there, this was the first game that East was at full strength with Camryn Jones and TJ Ross (both starters) back.

 

East led from the get go, had a great gameplan and players came out and played. Jones was the best player on the court today, SW just couldn't guard him.

 

Think SW might have been a bit hungover after crushing Wayne County yesterday. East was crushed by Lincoln Co. last night as well (but without Jones).

 

East doesn't have many traditional bigs, but the guys down low made their presence known. Battled down low with one of the best centers in the region.

 

Southwestern's offense looked out of whack. Was just a 4 out, 1 in for pretty much the whole game, and East's 3-2 matchup zone was the perfect answer.

Camryn and TJ played against Pulaski and looked awful. If East makes shots, they'll be tough to beat. They play a style of high risk, high reward. If they shoot a high percentage, they will be tough to beat. That is why it will be important to get the top seed in that district. The top 3 can go either way. You want to play Burgin in that district. You may be sent home early if you don't.
