December 13, 201411 yr Braxton Miller wants to stay at Ohio State, his father says | Buckeye Xtra Sports
December 14, 201411 yr IIRC, they mentioned during the Wisconsin broadcast that Oregon was a possibility. Any validity to that?
December 14, 201411 yr IIRC, they mentioned during the Wisconsin broadcast that Oregon was a possibility. Any validity to that? It should be. It is possible, probably not likely, that Braxton could end up being the third best QB on the roster next year. How do you put him above a guy that just finished 5th in the Heisman, and possibly the other QB who won two playoff games and a national championship? On a side note: How is Urban Meyer not the National Coach of the Year? Who did a better job than him this year?
December 15, 201411 yr On a side note: How is Urban Meyer not the National Coach of the Year? Who did a better job than him this year? :thumb: There is NO Reason. Should anyone not vote Meyer they either.... 1. personally don't like Meyer 2. Refuse to look at it objectively, just go along with the popular / favorites 3. Are just flat out stupid, know nothing about football, what happened this season, or all of the above. :isurrender: .......
December 15, 201411 yr ^^ Jimbo Fischer :idunno: He hasn't lost a game since 11-24-12. They might not have all been pretty, but a wins a win.

December 15, 201411 yr ^^ Jimbo Fischer :idunno: He hasn't lost a game since 11-24-12. They might not have all been pretty, but a wins a win. He's done what was expected of him. He surely hasn't overachieved the way Meyer has. Would any other team be in the playoffs if they were down to their third string QB? Maybe...and this is a huge maybe....maybe Bama could have survived that. I don't see how it can really be argued that Meyer didn't out coach any of his peers this year. Lost two Heisman contenders and has a shot to win it all.

So now you have another high quality QB playing the position. What games did OSU win that they shouldn't have, with a second Heisman QB running the show? Meyer has done a great job this year, but you can't discredit what Fischer has done, and then give Meyer credit for winning with more than one Heisman QB... JMO.

First, if you're gonna defend the man have enough respect to spell his name right (Fisher). And second, there is no "he's claiming" that Barrett is a heisman candidate, Barrett finished 5th in the voting that is absolutely a heisman candidate. Didn't get an invite because he got hurt and obviously wasn't going to win it but do you think that had he not gotten hurt and led OSU to a 59-0 win over Wisconsin he wouldn't have at least had a seat in New York?

Enough respect for a typo? :lol2: Relax chief... Barrett also had a great season, which solidifies my point even more. You can't discredit what FSU has done this year (you know, win ALL their games), and try to boast OSU because they had to play with their lowly back up quarterback, who was also a Heisman contender...
December 16, 201411 yr But OSU is down to their third QB and is still doing it. FSU did have a great season, and still is. But with them being the preseason number one weren't they kind of expected to do what they've done? Unless I'm missing something they haven't had any major injuries have they? I think either Meyer or Patterson from TCU deserves COY. Horned Frogs were 4-8 last year and currently sit at 11-1.

But we can't play the Poor Little OSU card, and then talk about how their back up QB who played all year is a Heisman candidate.
December 16, 201411 yr Anyway, this thread is about Braxton Miller. I've heard he stays, I've heard Oregon, I've even heard FSU if Jameis bolts for the draft. We'd take him down in Lexington. Any chance he stays and Meyer keeps Barrett at QB and tries to play Braxton in an ATH role? Like a hybrid RB/WR?
December 17, 201411 yr I have actually read that Kentucky is in play for Braxton Miller if he chooses to transfer. It would be Oregon or Kentucky with the overwhelming favorite being Oregon.
