Belfry and Lou Central has proven themselves by going to and winning state championship within the last few season and Lex Cath has beaten Boyle Co 7 out of last 8. So if that's your list in order, be ready to get heck from Belfry and other contending 3A fans. Just saying brother. Just one mans opinion, and it wouldn't be the first time I've teed somebody off on here.

Central/LexCath/Boyle/B'town will be a tough region to get out of. Can't wait. Central has 9 starters returning next season on Offensive.

I'm not ready to call Boyle County or LexCath slam dunk winners over Belfry or Central.

They should both be big favorites moving into the smaller class.

True that . lol I do believe Central and Belfry are good but not Boyle County and Lexington Catholic good.

Lex cath has won 6 out of the last 7 from 2011 to 2014, From 2008 to 2010 Boyle won 6 in a row in 2013 Boyle won the only meeting.

By contrast, Belfry was very strong defensively, it was the key to their title. They were a little better than average offensively and one dimensional.

The Belfry fans on here, of which there are few, have always been pretty level headed and football savvy. Trust me when I tell you that the Belfry fans I know have a pretty good idea how strong Boyle and LexCath have been historically. Everyone knows the road gets a little rougher the next few years.

Twice in 2011, twice in 2012, and twice in 2014.. Sorry Jack, you are correct. In 2013 at Boyle Co, they beat LC but did not play against each other in the playoffs.

I think people are overlooking Belfry and Central already and that's not wise.

Boyle and or Lex Cath would've won 3A if they had been in it. Put Belfry and Central in this past seasons 4A Tournament and they wouldn't had made it as far as they did.

If Boyle and LexCath were in 3A this past season, I definitely think one of them would have represented the western half of the bracket in Bowling Green. Either would have been a favorite against Belfry in the finals and probably would have won. Belfry's defense might have kept them in it enough to give them a puncher's chance, but it would have been considered an upset.

 

If Belfry or Central had been in 4A, it depends on the region. I think either of them would have had a fairly good shot at Region 2. If they were in Region 3, then I think Belfry "may" have had a chance, especially if the regional game would have been on Pond Creek. But they would have needed some breaks. I don't think either Belfry or Central would have had a chance at Regions 1 or 4.
