December 9, 201411 yr 1-5 seems about right. 6-10 is a toss up. Cats are number 1 which is spot on. Duke makes me kinda nervous because I think they are that good, I don't know much about them and we'll they're Duke. As of right now in the games that I've seen they are a better shooting team from 12 feet out than Kentucky. What concerns me about UK when they get into the NCAA tournament is having one of those cold shooting games similar to when an inferior West Virginia team derailed them with that crazy zone in 2010. That one cold shooting night cost them a national championship because I don't for one minute believe that neither Duke nor Butler could have played within double digits of them that year. They were 3 for 32 in the West Virginia game from behind the arc, and didn't hit much inside the arc. Of course, I know with this UK team's size they're never going to shoot 32 three's, but they'll definitely have to make a few, especially against a team like Duke. And not just Duke, there's a few more teams that could end their hopes and dreams in March. Like Texas with their PG back. Hopefully their shooting improves. Right now their best accuracy is a dunk. But man can not live off dunks alone. Not when it gets crunch time in March and April.
December 9, 201411 yr This basketball season can't go by fast enough. However, the Cat's defense will probably caring them to the title. That's one thing that is a constant. Offense should catch up by January.:smug:

December 9, 201411 yr Yeah, because who is ranked #1 in hoops in December is sooooooooo important:)!!!! All #1 rankings are important. #1 rankings influence television money, university money, contractual leverage, recruiting and many other things. This Duke fan wants to be ranked #1 every week regardless of the month.

December 9, 201411 yr I don't feel like Louisville is the 4th best team in the country... I was thinking about that too, but then I looked at their schedule and they aren't going to lose more than a small handful of games. They will be top 10 all year and around top 5 most of the season. Two toughest games of the season are both at home also!
