December 9, 201411 yr I can't wait to beat you guys in March. Unless they play in the first round they may not get a chance to play. Duke has had a rough time with those first round games lately.
December 9, 201411 yr Two toughest games of the season are both at home also! Unless there's drastic improvement from Chris Jones, I've already written those off as losses. To my mind, the keys to Louisville having a successful regular season are the home-and-homes with UNC and Virginia and the road games at Notre Dame and Syracuse. Louisville has little shot against Kentucky or Duke based on what I've seen so far. Watching Rozier and Jones struggle to figure out how to break defenses has not been at all encouraging.

December 9, 201411 yr As of right now in the games that I've seen they are a better shooting team from 12 feet out than Kentucky. What concerns me about UK when they get into the NCAA tournament is having one of those cold shooting games similar to when an inferior West Virginia team derailed them with that crazy zone in 2010. That one cold shooting night cost them a national championship because I don't for one minute believe that neither Duke nor Butler could have played within double digits of them that year. They were 3 for 32 in the West Virginia game from behind the arc, and didn't hit much inside the arc. Of course, I know with this UK team's size they're never going to shoot 32 three's, but they'll definitely have to make a few, especially against a team like Duke. And not just Duke, there's a few more teams that could end their hopes and dreams in March. Like Texas with their PG back. Hopefully their shooting improves. Right now their best accuracy is a dunk. But man can not live off dunks alone. Not when it gets crunch time in March and April. That 2010 UK team was a very good team, but it was not this dominant team that people seem to remember them as. That Duke team that won it all was a very good team, and it would have been a very tough game for that 2010 UK team. That Duke team also did a lot of things that would have gave that UK team trouble, and was a great shooting team unlike UK. UK may have been able to beat Butler by double digits, but if UK would have beat WVU. The final four game against Duke probably would have been a classic. That UK team was fun because it got UK back up to the top of the basketball world. However it was not this completely dominant team like people seem to remember IMO.

That Duke team won it all and you can't take it away from them. But not a person on this planet will convince me they had the talent to keep UK players out of the paint. John Wall and Eric Bledsoe were going to make a living on Duke's backcourt that year. But it doesn't matter because UK didn't do their part and beat WVU.
