Anyone who causes destruction of another person's property or does bodily harm to others should be arrested. We are supposed to be a civilized society.

Curious to hear people's comments. attachment.php?attachmentid=48036

I mentioned last night on here how some idiot reposted is on FB.

A HUGE difference between a couch or a car or two being flipped over and set on fire, and a roaming mod. Not even in the same universe.

Those sure look like mobs in those pictures :D

I have always said people who use their sports team winning or losing as an excuse to vandalize or burn things are complete morons. The folks in Ferguson who are looting and burning things are complete morons too. There are just more of them in Ferguson.

They are all stupid. Do not condone any of it. With that being said, huge difference in burning a couch and burning stores, cars on lots, etc.

What Ferguson and anyone else moving forward should do is bring all hands on deck for the decision and fill the jails up with the violators. Furthermore, prosecutors should take a hard line approach with anyone arrested that includes mandatory jail time.

If you had a couple of cities actually not afraid to do their job by the time you got to the third or forth city/incident all the authorities would have to do is rattle their saber.

These animals are out of control because we as a society allow it to happen.

Why waste our tax money on them putting them in Jail.

^ Hamilton Co, At least the judges, sending a message to all protesters. The 15 who were arrested last night will not get out of jail until Friday, maybe even Monday. No bonds at this time.

So no getting arrested and bonding out an hour later.

Why waste our tax money on them putting them in Jail.

Beats wasting our federal tax dollars to rebuild after the destruction.

Either way, what is your solution if putting them in jail doesn't work for you?

Its domestic terrorism, eliminate the threat.

Its domestic terrorism, eliminate the threat.

America is better than that.

With that said, I think each state (not the Feds because their prosecution would always be politically motivated) needs to enact additional laws to deal with these threats. I am talking mandatory jail sentences (more than a few weeks) and the states need to get the word out to all the potential violators that it is zero tolerance and the legal consequences will be severe.

Right or wrong, jailing protestors, even non-peaceful ones, is always a risky venture, IMO. From the legal side, anything that looks like a suppression of protest is going to be met with resistance because of it's potential for abuse.
