Absolutely.

What I am pointing out is that you are trashing the very same document that gives you the right to trash it. Just seems a bit odd to me.

Okay.

Why does the race or the religion of the framers of the constitution matter when it comes to the validity of their final product.

Because when it was written it was written with one race in mind not all of them. But then again I guess they couldn't forsee that blacks would actually be free one day.

How can a document which over the years has been continuously updated and arguably improved upon with constitutional amendments become outdated? If the constitution were written in stone you would have a valid agreement but since it is a living document, it is constantly evolving over time.

At some point it will evolve to the point that the original parts of it will be nonexistent.

How would it be different, what would a rewritten constitution that was not written by white protestant people have included or excluded in it that would make it so much more relevant?

Whole other thread but I'd love to see Obama re-write the constitution and see what people have to say about his draft of it.

So they don't move out of the way for you. Now what?
So they try to pull your from you car, now what?

No thank you, he's done enough damage.

Have to trust the checks and balances

You mean before or after he removes Article II?

So they try to pull your from you car' date=' now what?[/quote']

Already answered that one. Full speed ahead.

What part(s) are specifically detrimental to blacks?

What part(s) are specifically detrimental to blacks?

Detrimental is the wrong word. The constitution and what I refer to as the system isn't a system designed to protect blacks in America. The system wasn't designed by blacks. The system isn't friendly to blacks. The system doesn't protect blacks the same way it protects whites. Part of that has to do with money but if anyone can't see how the system has been detrimental to blacks and other minorities in America then you simply haven't been paying attention for the last 300 years.

Isn't there an amendment in the constitution saying blacks can be free and are allowed to vote now? Women also? Didn't that have to be added to the constitution?

Yes, America has been wrong and often with blacks. But that's why we have amendments to the constitution.

A helpful thing for this discussion would be for you to point out the problems you see with the system in 2014 for blacks. I'm not saying you're wrong, but at least lets address the ones you take issue with.
