I don't care what these reports say; I will never be convinced that boy had to die.

Unfortunately, in some cases, police don't have time to ask if a gun being swung around is real or fake.

It's sad, regardless of the outcome of the grand jury.

The fault of this incident lies with poor parenting, the community and guys like Farrakhan and Sharpton for not teaching respect for authority. Even if you disagree with this, they should teach that doing something of this nature could lead to serious consequences. The officer saw what looked like a threat to his life and acted accordingly.

I understand that and as from previous posts, you can be certain that I am pro-police. I don't understand the police tactics in this situation though; driving right up on a suspect with a gun and opening fire. That kid had no chance.

City has billed Tamir's family $500 for transporting his body to the hospital.

Not satire.

Is that a standard transport fee for the coroner or ambulance...or is this just piling on?

I'll bet it is a standard fee that is charged automatically and there was no malice or I'll intent.

No malice. Poor thinking by the city though.

Probably an outside company that does the billing for the city.

Not making an excuse, somebody from the city should have thought of this and put a stop to the bill before it was sent.

The city and family have reached a $6M agreement.
