Come on. This is NO DIFFERENT than playing on Friday in the state championship. You don't know your team is going until the Friday before. You then have to coordinate with your work to make sure you can leave in time. This isn't even that. You only need to leave work one hour earlier than planned.

C'mon Clyde! We all know this is such a trivial matter that's it laughable. Apparently one person on here is upset with the fact that they have to work. And he has taking it out on Highlands when in fact he isn't pointing the finger at the wrong school, but at the same time, not that big a deal. He could just call Coach Weinrich or Dale Mueller and pitch a "complaint" at them, but they decided to take it to BGP. I guess he was thinking there would be a plethora of support. lol! Yeah I would rather see 730 but in the while picture, at least the game isn't next Sat. @ 1

There must be a Black Friday evening sale at Target or Best Buy?! UK basketball is not playing Friday evening. Maybe the fact UK football plays at noon Saturday in Louisville is the cause for the game time change?! It is such an extensive drive from Lexington to Ft. If you don't go to HHS, you are more than welcome to come support your Kenton County brethren at Rice Mountjoy Stadium. Heck you may be able to make the 6 o'clock 4A game at Highlands and then make the drive to Edgewood/Fort Mitchell/Erlanger to catch the 2nd half of the 6A game.

Why not? Bitterness? I don't see why you wouldn't cheer for a school in the same school system to try to win state. Heck if Dixie wins this Friday atleast when you relive this year with SK fans you can say "SK had a good team but ran into a team that ended up finishing #2 (or #1) in the state."

Could you also let me know which KHSAA bylaw contains the information regarding the 7:30 default start time. I'd like to check it out.

 

I think what Jim was saying was that the KHSAA website automatically sets game times at 7:30 and then teams can go in and change them. I remember earlier in the year Frankfort had a game scheduled with a Florida team but there was no team name, rather a TBA. The game time, however, still showed 7:30.

Yes the KHSAA website has them defaulted as 7:30 starts. For Dixie's playoff games against Ryle and SK the website showed 7:30 automatically but those games were scheduled 7:00 starts (the SK game didn't start until 7:30 due to them being stuck in traffic and arriving late).
