This game is the only game held at the stadium that day.

It was originally scheduled for a later time. Now if the state finals game times are changed after their originally scheduled times have been set them you may have a little argument...very little. This isn't even close to being the same thing.

Since KHSAA's default start time for all football contests is 7:30pm unless schools make other arrangements, I think that would suffice. Unless Highlands had a "To Whom It May Concern …" letter sent out beforehand to all potential semifinal opponents before the CovCath game informing them that this game would be moved.

I'm pretty sure the game on Friday started at 7 PM. every schedule I have seen says TBA.

Yeah the weather, that's it. The temperature might be 2 degrees higher. It's ridiculous. As someone who actually played sports, why disrupt your own routine when you're the favorite? Someone needs their head examined. I thought that Highlands was above these type of gimmicks.

 

No week is like Thanksgiving week, especially when you're out of school Wednesday, Thursday and on game day itself.

 

The routine, compared to the previous 16 weeks (2 weeks of preseason, 11 weeks of regular season, 3 weeks of playoffs) is already out the window.

 

And it's not like playing at 6 should be a big deal for the opponent. You can leave any time you want with school not in session. And you'll get home at a decent time.

I don't think it really matters who requested the change. I think it still puts parents of the away team at a disadvantage if they work until 5 or so.

 

1) More folks off this particular Friday compared to any other Friday of the season.

 

2) When you're a parent and your team is playing on the road, you get used to leaving earlier than you do for a home game.

Is Carman Electra doing the coin toss?

No Big Deal...Kids are out of school anyway so the coaches can have them show up an hour earlier without causing any problems. Most LC parents would have to leave work early anyway to get to the game and have already made arrangements to do so.

 

With this being a Holiday to Most but not all people IMO this isn't a big deal.

 

I just wish there was a Pizza Summit this year!

Personally, I would like to see it scheduled for late February or early March in Honolulu.

Anybody see Highlands throw that slant this past Friday and the field goal in the Red Zone???, haven't seen either of those in close to 20yrs...Just a whole new look this yr and working out just fine
