ACA - who else lied or silenced those spreading the truth while admin lied

Featured Replies

Gruber is just one of loudest mouths about the false, misleading and deceptive acts in creating the ACA product.

Others like CNBC were inolved with the fraud.

CNBC silenced Melissa Francis exposing ObamaCARE (Video) : Fire Andrea Mitchell!

Opening a new thread due to contamination in other one.

Besides being maddening, it is actually kind of scary how the media (except for Fox) just bury stories that may be harmful for Obama. And Obama/Holder will go after media folks they don't like (eg: James Rosen) by spying on them (personal emails and phone records). It is too bad this kind of stuff goes on in America...

The only possible reasons for the media to be burying this story are (1) they are in cahoots with Obama or (2) they are scared of Obama or possibly a little of both.

CNN is actually being a little better recently in having an open view of things.

Have they covered this story at all? I have not seen but I could have easily missed it.

Thanks...

I'm still in shock more people and more news stations aren't trying to crucify those, I mean the news media is considered stupid also according to Obomaites

Agreed I think CNN has made a major shift of being critical ever since they embarrassed themselves in the last presidential debate. Also having Jake Tapper in a prominent role helps as well.

If this was passed with lies, shouldn't the Supreme Court throw it out.

If Obama gets all of these illegals to be legal they will bankrupt the health care system and middle class. The states will go broke having to pay for all the free care.

The Supreme Court looks at it in the spring, right? Will be interesting to see how what happens. I am sure the newly elected Republican Senate will make Gruber testify in some hearings in 2015. That will be some must see TV...

"Yet Gruber joined the HHS payroll right after Obama took office, in March 2009. He was paid $392,600 to consult on ObamaCare. Some might call this kind of arrangement “corruption.”

Minnesota paid him $400,000 of ObamaCare money to attend one meeting, print a copy of a report and participate in an e-mail list, The Washington Times reported. Wisconsin and Vermont each paid Gruber $400,000 for similar “work.” West Virginia, Maine, Colorado and Oregon also hired him, though the Times didn’t say how much they paid him. So Gruber has made more than $1.5 million from ObamaCare — that we know of.

Nice gig if you can get it.

What is headed to Court is the issue of the Federal Exchange and associated subsidies. The law required states to set up exchanges - with the associated subsidy via tax credits. 'Subsidy via tax credit' - talk about intential hiding of financial mechanics as Gruber has spoken of. The administration had to create a new IRS rule to create the Federal exchange (since the law did not do it) and tax subsidies are needed to keep the cost low enough to keep the (illegally delayed) employer mandate in place. If the Federal exchanges and/or the subsidies for programs purchased through the Federal exchange are nullified the empolyer mandate then is not and will not ever be in force. With only an individual mandate the whole mechanics fails - not that id does not eventually fail anyway but this will make the failure almost immediate.

Two lower courts have ruled differently on the same ACA law wording. But if there is any doubt Gruber comes to the rescue again - explaining that the lack of a 'fall back' for states who do not set up exchanges (34 did not) was intential and politically purposeful - it was 'entice' the states to do so under the threat of voter backlash against states who did not do it since their citizens would pay the ACA taxes but not get the subsidies. The lack of a Federal fall back was not in any way an oversight - it was deliberate. And Gruber explains so in a video.

Another thing Gruber said was (paraphrased) - 'the courts are a much bigger threat to ACA than the Republicans.'. He is correct. He is a smart guy, very smart. ACA made him a millionaire.

"Yet Gruber joined the HHS payroll right after Obama took office, in March 2009. He was paid $392,600 to consult on ObamaCare. Some might call this kind of arrangement “corruption.”.

That's approaching Jesse Benton money.

You know the thread is above over when the left cry's " they did it too "
