Well I can assure you that Dixie is focused on SK and is not overlooking them. The game planning for SK started as soon as the matchup was set Friday night.

 

Whats to gameplan? There is no reason for Dixie to do anything different from what they did the last go round. Its up to the losing team to adjust, not the the winning team.

Complacency is not the right approach and I'm glad the Dixie staff hasn't adopted your way of thinking.

Well we don't have wrestling like you big schools. Can't afford it. Just a small lil independent school. So you're right, we can't compare what we don't compete in.

 

As for BBall, we are like you in football...except several more. We have a state runner-up in bball and SEVERAL regional championships. Many more bball regionals than SK has in football. And I bet more regional championships in bball. We came up one game short in the bball championship game and you won the one time you were there. So holistically over the years, HHS bball may be considered better than SK...other than the one game you won that we didn't. But you have the ring and we don't...so you're right!

 

And what happened to "ancient history" that you SK fans always love to use??? Ha ha!

 

And if we really want to compare success (in sports and academics where we compete in the same things), then lets have at it. I doubt your HHS history is very strong, so be very careful what you wish for! :ylsuper:

 

You can start with the BBall stuff. Heck, go all the way back to when you won the ring (were you even alive) and compare all the championships. Put up a poll and let's see where they stand. In fact, I think someone already did that on the bball board. Thought I saw it somewhere. Don't mistake recent history for the history of the HHS bball program.

I would expect all passing to be a challenge, both in getting a decent pass off and with the receivers catching and holding onto the ball.

True, I expect SK will be affected much more than Dixie as I don't think the Red Colonels will be forced into the pass much.

Really proud of how this team has played and excited about the growth of the program. I said before the season that a return trip to the regional finals means that SK has turned the corner and passed on the program from one generation (Simpson) to another (Lawrence) on to that great group of 2013 seniors and Kuntz to a new 'generation' with Racke and Powell. Sitting here 10 years ago, would have never guessed that this program would be where it is today. Proud of our Pioneers! Now go beat Dixie.

That's what I thought, it has nothing to do with it. I'm pretty sure there are no current football players from the 1987 wrestling champions or the 1981 basketball champions.

You are correct, SK has shown that they are at the point where they will reload rather than rebuild when a top class graduates.
