absolutely......we only had 3 drives in first half.....touchdown, phantom holding penalty and rape in the end zone not called....only one third quarter drive and yes penalty again when we were driving.... 7 points will not win many but neither will phantom flags thrown....kinda reminded me of Remember the titans when it was obvious the zebras had a motive

 

So you feel the refs had an agenda, none of the penalities they did call were penalties on JC and they missed (what you felt) were a couple pass interferences? Did they miss any calls against JC that may have given CC an advantage? Did they call anything on CC that CC fans may feel was suspect. You may be completely correct...I don't know. But one...this isn't really the place to air it out and two, why aren't the other JC fans on your bandwagon. Maybe they are and just keeping it quiet.

I could care less who he plays but when you are one dimensional and run up against better athletes on the other side it will continue to happen. When you can't make adjustments in a game you are in trouble.

 

I agree about being one dimensional. But if you at least play some decent teams you may be able to overcome that. I could say the same for Ashland tonight, they hung right with Highlands for the majority of the game, due to a stud rb. Had they had a more balanced offense they probably coulda/shoulda won, but they didn't. Ashland is a one dimensional team this year, but hung right with a team that most on here predicted winning with a running clock in the first half. How did that happen?

Congrats CCH.....and the zebras.....phantom holding call in second quarter changed the game...Ball on CCH 15 instead 1 and 22.....no Golden Eagle around.....two forced fumbles recovered by JC and gave back to CC....1st and 10 on the CC 20 ball thrown to Adkins in the end zone and no interference after raping him.... Another pass play Adkins was held by the jersey right in front of zebra and no flag.....We had our chances still but was not gonna allow Eastern Ky teams to beat the Central Ky refs....Kinda got embarrassing watching this crew....However congrats to CC not your fault....Good luck against Highlands....

 

The refs! WOW. Try or how about a better non district opponents. Stop scheduling the school for the blind and deaf or a school with a total of 50 male in the entire school. Stop it please. The better team, better prepared team won.

Honest questions. Do you guys who think a better schedule would help ( which I agree with) think JC is better than Cov Cath ? Because reading it 100 times in every thread leads me to believe that some think JC should be beating their Northern Ky foes based on talent.

I texted MTGL earlier today and told him I would be shocked if Johnson Central beat CC. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for JC, but they had a great year, helped out by the very weak schedule. They are a very young team and will be very good the next couple years. Generally speaking NKy schools just play a better brand of football than EKY. I know both Ashland and JC are thrilled to get away from playing Highlands and CC in the playoffs next year.

That's fair but let's not forget the kids have Internet access as well. CCH outplayed them to tonight but they have no reason to be down on themselves.

I get that and don't disagree but let's be honest thats garbage for grown men to get on here and carry on about. At the end of the day it's high school kids lining up across from other high school kids that matters. I'm just wondering if others ( not the handful of northern ky posters whose only purpose in life is to get on here and bash matney) think JC has the same talent level as those teams.

Hard to say. They're so one-dimensional that it makes it difficult to judge. No real stud on this years team, which is what has allowed them to stay close in the past. This was a really banged up CovCath team in enemy territory on a cold night. Seems like a lot played into JC's hands, but they still came up short. I'd say they're close. I think they handle a lot of good teams in NKY, just not CovCath and Highlands.
