nWo Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I'm going to go ahead and issue a Winter Weather Alert for Sunday and Monday. 1-3" in a wide area that includes the cities of Madisonville Radcliff Elizabethtown Louisville Lexington Danville Frankfort Richmond Cincinnati Maysville Winchester Mt. Sterling Staton Paris Cynthiana Flemingsburg There is area in Central Ky That I'll be watching that could see upwards around 4+" Parts of southern Kentucky may see dusting to 1" Southeast Kentucky looks to miss the snow. I'll be fine tuning my forecast and posting updates when I can.
rockmom Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 So....this is always tricky....I'm only about 30 miles from E-town....should I prepare for 1-3?
JDEaston Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 What are your thoughts on the Northeastern Kentucky/Ashland area? Local weathermen arent saying much, but have mentioned it will be our first shovelable snow of the season.
hoops5 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Time to get busy: Whatcha gonna do with the LAST loaves of bread and gallons of milk at Kroger?
nWo Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 I'm going over the just released runs I'll be back in a few.
nWo Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 The latest run really has changed. Now most of Kentucky is looking at some snow. The snow accumulation totals have increased. Has I mentioned earlier Central Kentucky is really in the bulls eye. Centered around Lexington, that area is now looking at 2-4" maybe even more. I'm staying with the 1-3" for the other areas I mentioned. I now add Ashland, Hunting, WV area. Southeast Kentucky now is looking at a dusting to 1". I'm growing in concern for WKY. The latest run is the first time I saw any indication of freezing rain or ice. As of now .001" but we need to keep a close eye on the situation
sportsfan41 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Under NWO's tutelage I've gotten better at reading and understanding this stuff further out. My 2-3 inch prediction for NKY isn't looking too bad right now. This sucks, as I spend a very large part of my work day in a vehicle.

So when/if any weather watch, warnings or advisories are issued I will post them here immediately.
