Hopkinsville comes to Bowling Green Friday night for week 2 playoff action. Hopkinsville forfeited 3 games during season playing an illegible player (Artuse flashback). Dispatch their losing record they have put up some points thus year. The problem is they are also allowing a lot of points.

I think the Purples will be clicking on all cylinders and will be more than ready to enjoy the journey on the possible 4peat. Can't take any team for granted beginning with Hoptown.

Give us your thoughts and predictions on this game. I'll go with 42 to 12 Purples.

I agree. Bowling Green 4-5 scores better than Hoptown.

Look for the Tigers to put together a good game and end the Purples season!

Another blowout.

Hopkinsville can score some. Play defense? Nooooot so much.

Turnovers is the great equalizer if the Tigers can get some breaks, you never know they have some firepower that could make things interesting. They got a good oline with several capable backs. Hoptown started their Freshmen QB this past Friday Johnson ( ranked no.1 freshmen in basketball by Couier Journal) in replace of injured Tyler Grahm. Grahm is a very gutsy player who makes things happen with their option attack.

Defensively they do give up rushing yards but have several playmakers who can make things happen if given the opportunity. Secondary play is pretty decent.

Trap, you will need 6 timely turnovers to stay close. Freshman QB vs BG D = BIG Trouble. DFire, who I ultimately respect, says Hoptown D "no so much" = Trouble. Just don't see it.

Matt Holiday, I'd recommend sticking with baseball.

Doubletake, I'd recommend going all-in with John Hardin.

Dragon knows his stuff and usually is on point. Just saying think the Tigers are better than some think..

Hopkinsville was in my top 10 prior to the Graves County game, so please don't take it as a sign of disrespect to the team on my part. The Tigers seem to me to be totally Jekyll and Hyde. No results better highlighted that dichotomy than getting the doors blown off in awful fashion against Graves and then losing a heartbreaker in double OT to a very good Franklin-Simpson team. But allowing 30 points a game, that's just not going to lead to success in a tough game like this. I think they'll move the ball some and I think they'll score some points. I could maybe seen them scoring more than anyone has on BG since McCallie. But I don't think they're going to get many stops.

Bowling Green 42-7.

Warren Central put up 57 on the Tigers, Madisonville 60, Graves Co. 56, Franklin Simpson 40, and Greenwood even had 28. BG all day BIG!

Hoptown offense pretty good, Hoptown defense pretty bad

BG offense very good, BG defense awesome

I look for BG to fire on all cylinders and I think a blanking might be in order...BG 49-0

Yeah I think BG wins very comfortably. Somewhere along the lines of 49-7 sounds about right.

Hoptown 49-35

Hoptown 49-35

49, yep, he said 49!
