Exactly. I'm not going to listen to anything anyone from the other side has to say about my guy just like no one from the other side should listen to what I have to say about my guy.

 

If the arguments you list for your guy are so factual, why do so many disagree, feel disappointed and felt the need to vote his supporters out of office and replace them with people who support the arguments you disagree with?

It's interesting to me that no one has addressed the points to counter except Bluegrasscard. Which I applaud BGC for taking the time to make the effort to actually make an argument about the message, not attack the messenger. I may not agree, but at least there's something to discuss.

Gas prices are down in spite of Obama. He opposes fracking and permits are down on gov. land. Production is due to oil being pumped on private lands. He also opposes the Keystone Pipeline.

 

Those who needed health insurance could have been helped without taking over everyone's health care.

 

While the economy was in bad shape, the Dems and RINOs were running around with Chicken Little attitudes. The way they went could have been better served by following previous administrations, Coolidge, Kennedy and Reagan, in reducing taxes and regulations.

 

Stocks were artificially held up by the stimulus of pumping borrowed money into the system, contributing to crony-capitalism.

 

The CARD Act is just more costly regulation. Credit card users know or should know what their getting into.

 

On the job front, many of these jobs are part time jobs, because many employers feel the pinch of an overreaching law, know as Obamacare.

 

As far as same-sex marriage goes, the Constitution gives that power to the States. And the vast majority of states have rejected such unions.

 

Hate crime legislation is just feel-good legislation. Beating up people and murder are already crimes.

 

Aren't the lower taxes needed to keep Social Security going? Lower taxes on income.

 

A majority of people do not see Obama as a strong leader making tough decisions. Is it because much of what he has done is superficial? Is it because his administration has attacked the Bill of Rights? Is it because he has attacked our allies and kowtowed to foreign leaders like Putin? Is it because he does not believe in a strong, moral America as a world leader? Is it because he will release terrorists from Gitmo, but not lift a finger to help a US Marine in a Mexican jail?

Need to add, while we have not had an attack of 9-11 proportions, we have had a beheading and the shootings at Ft. Hood. We do have 10's of 1000s coming into the country illegally with diseases and potential terrorists who planning large scale attacks.

It covers from 2010 to 2013. So it is definitely 'the Obama era' and should be post 'Bush recession'. It is sobering. I always say I do not blame or give credit the administration for economic results. Regardless of the drivers - the picture is muddied at best.

 

Some key excerpts:

 

Between 2010 and 2013, mean (overall average) family income rose 4 percent in real terms, but median income fell 5 percent, consistent with increasing income concentration during this period. (The midpoint fell. Incomes are lower)

 

Families at the bottom of the income distribution saw continued substantial declines in average real incomes between 2010 and 2013, continuing the trend observed between the 2007 and 2010 surveys. (Poor getting poorer)

 

Families in the middle to upper-middle parts (between the 40th and 90th percentiles) of the income distribution saw little change in average real incomes between 2010 and 2013 and thus have failed to recover the losses experienced between 2007 and 2010. (The recovery is less than most post recession recoveries.)

 

Only families at the very top of the income distribution saw widespread income gains between 2010 and 2013, although mean and median incomes were still below 2007 levels. (The rich got richer, but slower)

 

Overall, between 2010 and 2013 there was little movement in median and mean net worth, as the median fell a modest 2 percent and the mean increased slightly. (Bulding of wealth has stopped - this is a very concerning statistic)

 

Ownership rates of housing and businesses fell substantially between 2010 and 2013. (If the American dream is to own your own business and own your own home its going in the wrong direction)

 

Although many measures of debt and debt obligations indicat e that debt has fallen, education debt increased substantially between 2010 and 2013. (Is sheepskin poor the new house-poor?)

The arm chair quarter backing after the fact suggesting a dud of a setting president should have been drug into the rout he created is downright comical .

If the president is looking for a party he should go find some Republicans. They're partying pretty hard right now.
