Hellbird… it’s never ok for adults to name call HS kids on a public forum. It’s inexcusable. The offending comment was quickly (and appropriately) erased by the mods.

Yes they did say he texted the kid he told he hoped his hand was broke. That's a nice gesture and I even didn't even bring that up, I was speaking of his other misconduct flipping off the fans not once but twice.

 

So so when did he apologize to

the fans in the stands? I understand you don't get it, I was simply stating what I would do if I were his coach and that is pull him out

of the game and teach him he can't act that way, although it is apparently condoned behavior by you and some others, the rest of the people would rather see better behavior taught.

Now ow that is cleared up, here is my stance. I will be rooting on SH when they go down state. I think it's an awesome story that they won!! I simply wish if a Ayer on the field, no matter who or which team, acted the way that was reported, that he be held accountable. That is all, they should be held accountable for

and not acceptable. I didn't think that was so far out of line

to say. The bigger issue is when it seems adults are

condoning the actions by using excuses to why it was done in the first place.

From the stands directed to

the goalie. I heard 1 person who happened to defend the goalie say they did curse at him.

 

Bottomline is is even if there were cursing that is no excuse to act the way he acted. Whether players understand this or not, they are held

a higher standard than fans at a game. You can't act like that period and letting him think you can isn't helping him any is it?

I do not condone either his behavior if it happened as described or the behavior of anyone taunting him and I assume that he regrets doing it. In the heat of a game, you do things sometimes that you regret especially when people are taunting you. You were neither there nor did you know of what is said to have happened until you read about it here and yet you are in an uproar over something that doesn't even impact you. You, as you mentioned, don't have a dog in this fight, but yet you insist on being in this middle of it and stirring it up. I don't think that anyone condones the behavior described, but we allow those involved in the matter to handle the matter. There has already been evidence presented that an apology was given to one party. What more do you need and why do you think that you deserve to be any part of this? The matter is obviously being addressed in some way, shape or form. I am sure that the person who posted that he apologized thought that he was helping to appease the masses thirst for a pound of flesh, but I guess that they didn't realize what a grudge someone who wasn't there, doesn't have a player on either team, or any affiliation with either school could carry. Now you are saying the St Henry boys taunted the fans? Hold on just a minute, I am not going to sit here and let you make that statement. The instances that occurred were players firing up the St. Henry student section or responding to a big moment in the game. Never did I see any taunting of the Cov Cath fans by a Crusader. I have sat here and taken the St. Henry bashing for as long as I can. There is so much more that needs to be said but I'm going to stop now before I get myself in trouble.....

 

I stand by the statement I made, I am sorry I have drawn your ire on this one colcru13, but this did in fact happen. I will speak of one example, it was right after SH was able to get the equalizer, there were 3 SH players that ran toward the "crazies", basically egging them on.... or as if to say "look what we just did" or as you put it... "responding to a big moment in the game".

 

What you are missing here is that I did not say that they were wrong in doing so, or that what they did was wrong, the "crazies" stood there speechless, this sort of behavior is actually what I was talking about adding to the atmosphere. I thought it was great, they had been taunted and were giving it right back to the fans... you can argue if this is OK to do, or not.

I'm not so much up in arms over the goalie and what he did. If you've been reading my post my biggest issue (and it doesn't matter if he did it or not) is when some on here don't think it was wrong which is just like condoning it. This coming from adults who instead of thinking a lesson should be learned actually are more upset with people who have the nerve to say flipping off

the fans is wrong.

Not needy at all. Just wish some felt it as important as I do to teach our kids

the proper way to act is all. Kind of funny, I was brought up in Catholic schools and guess I'm just ild

school where I was taught and I also taught my kids that the way we act in public goes a long way of how others think about you.

 

Everyone makes mistakes. It is if you learn from them is what counts.

Not sure about this... I think the apology was for something else he might have said, or done, during the match.

I will give a perfect example of whT I mean when I say how you handle hourself can really give a lasting impression on people.

 

2012 in the football state title game, my son was playing against Bowling Green and last years Mr Football, Nacarius Fant. Fant talked to my boy during the game

and his actions and signs of respect he showed toward Cooper players left a very big impression on my boy and he became an instant Fant fan. This was in the heat of the battle and left a huge impact on my boy on how to handle yourself.

 

It is that type of attitude I think should be taught, not the other. That is all.
