Apologize to the fans in the stands?! Are you reading what people are saying here?! The fans instigated the alleged reaction from the goalie in the first place!

 

 

WOW....bad day to have an afternoon meeting....

 

I kind of started this , I think, by mentioning the 15-18 year old emotional kid response......but ..

 

1. I said it to move on because quite frankly, it was over and nothing could be done about it and it had no affect on the outcome....that doesn't mean i condone it or think the coach won't have a discussion with him. A very good learning opportunity.

 

2. Doesn't matter who instigated it...if in fact they did......players still need to be responsible for their own actions and dismissing those actions by siting others actions is incorrect.

 

3. Another point.....The Dean of Students, The Dean of Disclipline, The AD, and a high ranking CCH counselor all stood between the crazies and the field. The AR stood directly in front of them the entire game (except during the pk).......and nothing was done....You may not like the chanting and riding, but I guarantee you that the authorites posted above would not allow some of the actions that have been insinuated so far.

 

4. Think about how far soccer has come when we are complaining about a student body at a game cheering too much..........We've come a long way baby !!!!

I never have a problem with cheering...taunting is different. Can we all just move on now. As has been shown in previous posts, the matter has been shown to be addressed. Why people on this board feel that they are due a detailed account of what a player's parents or coaches have said or done to address a situation is mystifying! Get over yourselves...you are not that important! It is a private matter between the parties involved. Even when presented with evidence that an issue is being addressed it isn't enough.

 

I am done with posting anything on here. It has become too frustrating. A reasonable man has to recognize an unreasonable situation and move on. It's been good exchanging opinions and thoughts with some of you, but I am out.

Come on, group hug for watsalen..... Sit next to me tomo? We can post broadcast the game together.

Save room for me at the game too, then when we post all the REAL AND TRUE info, we'll all be on the same page. I mean three people can't all be wrong, can they?!

Hopefully you really didn't mean to quote me while posting about needing to know etc......especially for the unreasonable comment..........I believe I have been nothing, if not reasonable and supportive....

And I stand by the statement I made. I was there also and I can guarantee you I had a much better perspective of what was going on than you did.

 

 

I stand by the statement I made, I am sorry I have drawn your ire on this one colcru13, but this did in fact happen. I will speak of one example, it was right after SH was able to get the equalizer, there were 3 SH players that ran toward the "crazies", basically egging them on.... or as if to say "look what we just did" or as you put it... "responding to a big moment in the game".

 

What you are missing here is that I did not say that they were wrong in doing so, or that what they did was wrong, the "crazies" stood there speechless, this sort of behavior is actually what I was talking about adding to the atmosphere. I thought it was great, they had been taunted and were giving it right back to the fans... you can argue if this is OK to do, or not.

I am glad you stand by your comments, just hard to see why you say you have a much better perspective of what was going on than I did... and to guarantee it. Please read my posts a little closer.... I am not bashing what the SH players did when they scored and I actually agreed with some of your commemts.
