Negatory, I have a snow leopard to take candy hunting.

If that happens, I will be one disappointed Beechwood fan. The way the Beechwood defense is playing and the way New Cath's offense has not scored more than 4 TD's in most of their games, if it turns into shootout that will be a surprise. I see this being on New Cath's defense to hold down the Tigers offense if the Breds want a win. If Beechwood scores 28+, the Tigers win.

This has the makings of the 2010 game when NewCath SHOULD have won by about 4TDs, but Beechwood (Vocke) came out and just punched them right in the mouth. Shoe is on the other foot now. NewCath will have to come out and dictate to Beechwood to stand a good chance.

Rivalry...enough said...Beechwood has the better team this year, but you can throw all that out. Who will throw the first punch...who will withstand and respond. Thats what this game comes down to. Ill take Beechwood.

Four TD's might be stretching it a little but NewCath was definitely the favorite to win in 2010. I would say the Breds were about a 7-10 point favorite in that one. I know NCC was really good and won a title but that was a very talented group of juniors on the Beechwood team.

Your comparison I buy though. I make Beechwood about a 10-14 point favorite in this one.

I'm going with Beechwood.

I am going with the Tigers in a bigger than usual margin for this game. I will say Beechwood 35 New Cath 14. This is a bad matchup this year for New Cath. Beechwood is very good at the line of scrimmage and New Cath appears a little down in the trenches. Beechwood is very good passing the ball and that is another area that New Cath has had some problems. It looks like the places where Beechwood is good is the same places where New Cath has had some problems this year.

Game of the week for us so count me in...can be seen live or on demand at nkysports.com under our webcasts link.

I think this game will be closer than some of you are predicting! NCC held Dixie to a low score so I'm assuming they have a decent defense. The Holy Cross scores look similar. NCC emptied their bench earlier vs Holy Cross.

Thought Dixie scored 48?

Nevermind, read it wrong. Still, Dixie score 34 so I'm not sure how that qualifies as a low score.

Nice!

That's one event I really miss, particularly the houses that passed out hot dogs and beers to the fathers.

We pass out beer and non filter camels instead of hot dogs. Still on the fence with NCC. Knowing you might be still struggling at this point in the season, do work on things to get ready for the playoffs or get ready for Beechwood? If NCC comes out and does nothing but run the ball that tells me they are protecting Henchen, limiting the clock, and not showing their cards to anyone in 2a. The rivalry says they are playing to win, but getting a young qb some extra confidence going into the playoffs might be an objective.

I like Beechwood in this one. They are hot and seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Looking like a chance of rain Friday. Any word on #37 Studer?
