For at least the last 15 years or so, Chili and Potato Soup have been our Christmas Eve staple. The house is filled with family family after candlelight church service. We play games, eat Christmas Candy and appetizers but the star of the night is the soup and chili. It will kill me smelling it all afternoon and having to wait on it.

Yeah, actually about two weeks ago I made a batch of chili. Actually cooked it on the the smoker. Turned out pretty good. 

I made White Chicken Chili for yesterday and today. It’ll be sauerkraut and sausage on New Year’s Day.

I guess I'm a couple of weeks early for my annual "holy crap it's cold and now I want some chili". The weekly trip to the grocery store and @nWo's weather report kinda overlapped yesterday and I ended up getting a big 'ol pot of chili started last night around 9pm. I let it simmer until I hit the rack around 1am, and then I put it back on the stove right around 11am today so we basically get to enjoy the "chili's always better the second day" part on the first day we eat it. But dag-goooooone I want some after smelling that stuff all evening last night and then having it going again for the past 3-1/2 hours!!!

You have me making chili today and meatloaf!  Have to be ready for the finals this weekend.

My December 20th chili vibes evidently came slightly earlier than usual this year....may have been on account of it being 1° F when I woke up this morning. I went an picked up chili fixin's at the grocery earlier and I've had a batch going in the crockpot since about 4pm. It ought to be more than ready come dinnertime tomorrow.

Weird how this happens.  I didn't see your post yesterday but I did make both chili and meatloaf again yesterday.  I froze the majority of it but I had meatloaf for breakfast today, yummo!!
