Who wins and why?

Johnson Central by 3 TD's. Tomcats are too inconsistent and Golden Eagles are too much.

My mistake, must have misread it. It will be at Johnson Central High School and not Paul G. Blazer.

Ashland doesn't stand a chance.

On paper, this game looks like a mismatch, but this will be Ashland's best shot at beating the Golden Eagles for at least the next three or four years. The key will be how often Ashland can keep JC's defensive line from getting to Baker and Long in the backfield. I expect JC to take control of the LOS and begin dominating the game by the end of the first half.

I wish I felt differently but I don't think the Tomcats can hang...maybe if the game was in Ashland, but its not. I would imagine the Oline and Dline for JC will be the difference in this one.

I think that Ashland has the talent to compete but for whatever the reason just hasn't put it all together thus far. I wil have to pedict a JCHS Win but I will be rooting for the Tomcats.

I don't really think that JC has the ability to hang with Highlands. I'm not really sure about their strength of schedule either...

I don't think that they have it to compete with Highlands nor Cov Cath if it came down to it. I looked up their opponents via KHSAA and I am not sure who those teams that they have played. Some do not sound familiar.

I think Johnson Central is better than Ashland, but Ashland's big play ability gives them a chance to play close with anyone in EKY. In the end I think JC's physical play and advantages on the O-Line & D-Line win out and the Eagles get the 1 seed and a 2nd round home playoff game. Good luck to both.

From 2006 to date, Johnson Central has played 66 home games with a record of 52-14 (79%). I'll take those odds and say Johnson Central wins this one pulling away.

I hate to say it, but I think JC wins this one in a big way. They are the better team imo, even though they haven't played anyone to get an idea how good they really are. That said, if he is able Matney will pour it on until the final buzzer.

I think this game will be closer than many expect and I would not be shocked to see Ashland get the upset.
