Their head coach is a class act. We were on the field after the game taking pictures and when we were finished he approached my son #28 Josh Watson. He put his arm around Josh and proceeded to tell Josh how his coaches have been watching films of Josh , Griffin and Bo and how they had their Defense key on them. He told Josh that it was a privilege to play against a team like Highlands and wished him luck not only in the rest of the season but in life. This Head Coach is a class act.

Great job by both Highlands, and Columbus for obviously exhibiting great character. I'm also glad to hear that people from other states had a pleasant experience when traveling to Kentucky to play, and Highlands should be commended for conveying a positive image of Kentucky, and Kentucky High School Football.

Maybe Guru can send the coach an email that we all are pleased by his letter to Highlands and that he and his team now how all of us as fans. Maybe a guest subscription in case he wants to post on here about his teams progress.

Don't varsity coaches still get a free membership? Or did that deal expire?

 

Either way, there is now a free membership option if he wants to join.

All of this is no surprise to me and actually I am glad someone posted this email afterall...

 

I actually saw the email right after it came out and had already text my guy back and said why don't you post that on BGP....and then erased it because really it is not important that Highlands fans / players / coaches, etc boast about someone saying something nice about them and posting it on a social media site to brag about themselves or try and change how people perceive oneself but more importantly about how Highlands and Ft Thomas is a God fearing community of Christians that just gets it and they really try to do the right thing all of the time, not just some of the time...:thumb:

 

But at the end of the day this is KY and KY folks take pride in their hospitality and good morals and Highlands knows they were representing the Commonwealth this past week and did not want to disappoint the perceptions of this great state with whether we won or lost a football game only mentallity but whether we actually did win our opponents at the end of the football game...
