BIG Game in 6A! Who gets to 2 and 0 in the SUPER District?

Male is on a roll! T is waiting for them on Shelbyville Road! Will be a great game!

Who wins and Why?

Huge huge game!

Thanks for starting the thread P88.

Your welcome!

I think I heard that several of Trinity's DBs were banged up and out of the Manual game. Are they still banged up for the Male game? That is a huge question because Male will put extreme pressure on you outside the hashes and make you tackle in space. I think they have better skill guys overall than T at the moment. But T playing at Home is a clear advantage. I will go with Male 28-21.

I just think Male is as good as advertised this year. Doesn't mean they can't be beat, but it will take a great effort from any team to beat them. If T is missing players in the secondary again this week, then problems will arise, much like they did in the St. X game.

In the end, Male improves to 2-0 in district play.

Male - 33

Trinity - 20

If T wins they will not get to 2-0 in the district; they would finish district play 2-1. A loss and the Rocks end district play at 1-2. Really makes the game even BIGGER for us folks in St. Matthews.

Predicted pre-season Male would set a state record for pass completions in a game at a bizarre # of 60. Thought this would be the game on Trinity's artificial turf and little chance of being mercy ruled. Did not see Male's running game coming around so strong. Weather permitting this could become a track meet and the mercy rule could indeed come into play. Male's grass field is always a mess after the band competition this time of year and it is a bigger mess this year than most. Coach probably excited about his skill players not getting bogged down on their home field. Male 37. Trinity 7!

Ummmm... even with the injuries that T is dealing with, I kind of doubt this will be a "mercy rule" game. 37-7 seems like a stretch as well. And if H wanted to complete 60 passes against T, last year was the year they should have done it. T may be the underdog, but I cannot remember the last time they lost by 30+ at home. This should be a pretty good football game.

Male has a very good coach.

It is very hard to run against Trinity between the tackles.

T has given up many big plays this year...both run and pass------- this is probably right in Male's wheelhouse. (I have not seen Male this season.)

Last year Male dinked and dunked very successfully against T.

T is hurting in its secondary (see "big plays", above).

M has some very big and talented offensive linemen.

T's offense is decent, not great.

T makes too many unforced errors (e.g., dropped passes, muffed punts, bad penalties, bad snaps on FG attempts {Manual game}, busted coverages, etc.).

M has a very good QB and skill players.

T has some pride.

Male should win. I don't think it will be 30 points as some have predicted. Some Trinity teams have come together late in the season. Maybe this will be one. I think and hope that T will at least be in the game------unlike last year.

35-10 Male was my score in the other thread. I bet Male is excited to be on turf after 3 straight home games, two of which in rainy conditions.

Everybody keeps talking about the weapons on offense. male's D is amazing.

Hambone,

Thats a good point. I think Males D doesnt get any credit because their early schedule didn't command it. But they held a very good St X team to basically one TD drive. They shut out X in the first half and only allowed 3 first downs in the first half. X came out fired up and drove it down the field for their first TD. X's second TD came when X's defense set them up inside the Male 5 to 10 yard line.

They will show up against T and make it really tough on them to score.

Was it? Listening to it on the radio last year made it seem much worse.

It was 42-14, that Moeller team was stacked... I predict a 17-14 Trinity win, Rocks D steps up & their O controls the ball with the run game & plays turnover free
