DragonFire Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Honestly, I'm just posting this for the chance to ream Clemson's fans for storming the field. A better example of the joke that program is does not exist. This is a team that put a divisional title up with an asterisk in 2012 when they lost to FSU and therefore were not Atlantic champions.
TheDeuce Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 If I post right now, I'll cuss and be suspended. So I'm just going to leave it alone. That game has to be won.
Jumper_Dad Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I thought that was kinda weak also. Neither team looked very good today...22 punts...wow! I thought Cards had it at the end.
Jumper_Dad Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Why not call two plays in the huddle prior to second down? Spiking it with almost 30 seconds left cost the Cards a shot at stealing this game at the end. Call a fade or drag anything with a receiver in the endzone...if you don't complete it clock stops and then you still have plenty of time for 4th down try. I was shaking my head and yelling at the TV when he was calling for everyone to hurry up to the line for the spike. It was so bad of a call IMO I expected it to be a fake spike and quick throw.

TheDeuce Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Louisville gave the game away. Completely undisciplined the entire game. Too many STUPID penalties (mental mistakes), blown coverage on the first punt return, dropped punts, the works... Gardner should have played the entire game. Bonnafon is not the long-term answer. He's not a quarterback. The defense is every bit as good as advertised. I feel bad for them, honestly. That spike on 3rd Down will haunt me for a long time. Coaching staff takes the heat for this one.
Bluegrasscard Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Tired defense - but still kept them out of the end zone. Gave the Cards a chance. I am OK with the run - but have another play called. Plenty of time to run the 2nd play and still get the last play in. Not sure what the call was but on replay 3 Clemson defenders on Browns run were not blocked. Not his fault. Last play was....not a good call. At least Louisville is a storm-the-field worthy opponent.

ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 That last series was garbage. I feel for that Card defense. They're what's up. No joke.

It was Louisvilles first ACC game against a legit team. No need to rush the field against a team that has not beaten anyone of any importance yet.

Clemson fans are invited to come onto the field and sing the alma mater with the players. Win or lose they do that every game. Nothing to add yet. Give me a few more minutes of fuming at the postgame tailgate
