I still think we will be able to move the ball up and down the field without Green. Gio in the open field allows that, plus Sanu should be able to move the chains.. What we lose is the big play threat and another piece out of the red zone. They really can't go 2TE sets because they only have one, who is very inconsistent in the receiving area. We are going to have to have Hill step up in the red zone. Gio just isn't a consistent pounder in the red zone, we saw that Sunday night.

 

I read someone on the Bengals said James Wright has to step up. He may be a good one some day, but he hasn't shown he's ready to contribute in a meaningful way yet. Tate and Sanz have to step up, I am not hopeful with either of those two.

 

This receiving corps would test all QB's. They are just not up to NFL standards as a group.

 

Fortunately, the Panthers aren't a great offense. This game could easily be one of those 17-14 or 14-10 games. Next week against the Colts, we will have to score 28+.

The Bengals would be wise to watch the Steeler/Panther tape and mimic that as the way to attack them on the ground. Make their stud commit in a gap and gouge them. Worked all day against them. Patience by GB will be the key.

Really? He's going to be without his top 3 receiving options. There's not a single QB in the NFL that wouldn't see a major drop in their numbers if they had to endure that.

Well, they lost a game (badly and embarrasing at that) but Dalton had a higher passer rating than the winning QB in Brady. He missed some throws, as did Brady but we don't care about the other guy.

 

The Bengals lost bad to San Diego in the playoffs and Dalton gets the blame (some deserved) but he didn't give up 197 yards rushing. They get smoked in New England but he didn't give up over 200 yards rushing.

 

The Bengals need to run Hill 25 times and use Gio as the change of pace back. You can't give Hill just 2 carries as they did versus New England. Pound the ball since you have your top three receivers out and a TE that has bricks tied to his hands.

Also, Mo Egger had on one of the so called NFL expert people the other day and he said in the New England game that out of the 53 man roster (not all those active on game day though) that Andy should of been worry number 51-53, so basically he wasn't much of the problem at all.

Not me saying the Bengals had a great receiving corps. I don't see Marvin or Sanu as anything special. Green actually had a bad year for him last year. Check the stats but I believe he had more drops last year than any other year in his career, and I have always thought his sure hands we re one of his best assets. No, I have thought one of the problems for the Bengals since AJ got here is not having another top receiving option to help him out.

 

Look at Marvin Jones numbers last year. How can you say he didnt become a true legit number two receiver for us. Keep in mind last year was the first year he truly got to play since his rookie year he was hurt some. He really came on to show he was a true #2 for us. For the record. Hellbird doesn't "troll". His Dalton hatred is genuine and consistent.
