7. Boyle They let me down

8. Collins Starting to show something against 4A. Host Central Harding this week.

9. Cov Cath. Just cause I don't know who else to put in...

10 Knox Cent.

When doing the rankings, is there some kind of numbering system used? In other words, what was the tally for Highlands to be #1 and Owensboro to be #2?

Is this a joke? I like owensboro but they aren't number 1 over the birds.

 

They played BG within a TD and led for most of the game...I don't think you'd find many people on here that believe Highlands would play BG that close.

I admit I did miss that BG was on the schedule.

 

However, they LOST to BG, no points for looking good in a loss.

 

People have no idea whether Highlands could play with or beat BG this year. You can speculate, but no one will know for sure.

How much stock do you all put in Highlands getting routed by an average Trinity team followed by a weak win against a decent Campbell Co. team? Not saying Highlands isn't a clear top 3 team, but it now appears that their signature win was against what is quickly becoming a very bad Cov. Cath team.

Highlands' scrimmage on 8/15/14 vs Trinity seems like an eternity ago, as the Birds have improved vastly over that period of time. This week's game vs Christopher Columbus, an 8A Jesuit school out of Miami, will be a very stern test.

 

IMO - I think Bryan Station is the best opponent the Birds have played this season.

 

Although you have JC at No. 3, I think a # of the others in your top 10 could beat them as their SOS is likely the easiest of all 10 ten teams listed.

 

IMO...If Station can hold it together, they can make a run at 6A. Been wrong before, guess time will tell...

I don't know if Ashland deserves the #10 spot, but then again, I don't know if any other teams do either.

Owensboro was driving for the go ahead score against BG with 2 mins left down 1 and were moving the ball very well. A juggle snap on 3rd and 3 killed that drive. OHS then let BG score to make it 8 pts and to have a chance to tie. BG is the best team in the state. X killled T and BG handled X and outplayed McAllie who beat the crap out of great school in TN (Ensworth maybe??)...put like 62 on them. I don't have Owensboro number 1 but to say it's a joke that someone has another team number 1 is laughable. OHS beat the #4 team in 2A (Ocath) on the road, beat a top 10 team 4A on the road (Madisonville) and beat a top 4 5A (Warren Central) team on the road.

 

Pretty good resume by OHS.

That's your interpretation of it. Not many agree with you.

 

You noted that Warren Central got smoked by a 2A team as a detriment to Owensboro's schedule - why wouldn't a close result in a game that Owensboro led most of the time against a team that might just be the best in the state not be seen as a positive?

 

FWIW, I have it Highlands, then Owensboro, just so you don't misunderstand.

Fair question for anyone who hasn't seen multiple HHS games. You really would have to witness the improvement over the weeks. I don't recall any other HHS team improving like this one. I think it begins and ends with the O-Line which is all new this year. I expected improvement by the end of the year but never dreamed they would develop so quickly.

This! So if they play with Elder, are you still going to say they couldn't play with BG?
