I'm interested in this game because I've heard a lot of people compare male and Bryan station as being very similar. Male and station matched up in the UK 7on 7 this summer for a very entertaining.

I'm glad this game is back at the level it was in the 90s and early 2000s. A lot of positive momentum for the Tigers right now, hopefully they continue that momentum on Friday.

How many times has X been "pumped for the rivalry game" and still lost? I think you have to give some credit where its due.

 

I absolutely gave them all the credit they were due. Where did I not? Believe I was one of the first T folks on here to give congrats. They may have very well been pumped in recent games - but that obviously was not enough. It was this time.

Male put a hurting on the Tigers in their JV contest tonight. X seemed to be outmatched from the start. The weight of JV games have been debated here before. I really think Male can get a solid victory Friday. I guess we will see. Male 33-13.

I will take Male 17-14 bc the game is at Male, I feel like they have a distinct advantage at home. If Male wins & Trinity beats Male next week and we end up with T, X & Male w/ a 2-1 record in the Super District what happens then? Do they coin flip for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd seeds? Obviously I'm assuming they all 3 beat Manual as well which is certainly not guaranteed by any means, just curious of the possible scenarios here.

I'm not sure how a potential tie breaker works. In FL last year that was a three way tie for the two playoff spots within the district. It was settled on the field, two of the three teams played the first quarter of the game, the winner of the quarter would advance to play the third team in the second quarter, The winner of the second quarter was the winner of the district. It was a bit unusual in my opinion, but better than flipping a coin.

I'd say this weeks game of St. X vs. Male will determine the District champion. Yes I know there is a lot of football to be played, however, when it comes to down to counting W's, this is a BIG game....

First, there is a lot of football to be played before the district champion is decided. There is not a single game left in this district that is a locked in win. If there is a two way tie, the winner of the head to head game wins. If there is a three way tie and none of the three teams beat the other two, it goes to a point system. You get one point for each game won by a team you defeated, not involved in the tie. A maximum of four games can be counted. There are way too many games left for that to have a lot of meaning at this point, but for what it's worth, Trinity and Male each have 14 points, X has 13.

^ Under a tiebreaker system.... Someone could win the district outright!!!!
