Covington Catholic 21 Highlands 20 (OT) (Frosh)

Well crap! HHS on the way back down now! Sounds like a great game and good experience for both squads!

Actually it's the contrary. I have watched this Frosh team play from Day 1 to now. They are starting to get it. After watching some of my former players last night and the way they are improving week to week, I think it's safe to say that Highlands Football will be just fine. I still believe that HHS needs a Wildcat Formation with Crosley New running the football out of that formation. They would be a lot better team Offensively with Schoellman's smarts(throwing) and New's legs as a combo dagger. Again...JMO!

The tide is turning. The run is over. The sky is falling. Here comes a series of mediocre teams. Fire the freshman coach. Fire BW. Fire the AD. Raise the taxes!

Sounds like a great game to have watched.

Congrats to the blueboys on the win! :thumb:

Who woulda thunk it...a Covcath team in football beating highlands!

Sounds like a great battle a lot of football fans would appreciate. Happy to hear past Red Team ftjfl'ers are making headway...

Yes exactly....Maybe! But the flag was thrown almost exactly the same time as the snap. I was standing pretty close nearby and commented that the play was coming back before he even threw the ball. Wasn't sure what the penalty was but it wasn't dropped late.

Ok- then they should have blown the play dead instead of letting it play through if that was the case.

Anyway- great great game to watch.

First time in 20 years CCH has beat HHS in frosh ball 2 consecutive years. Can't dispute the talent that is in CCH hallways.

Great game. The kid from Cov. Cath who scored the game winning touchdown deserves particular praise. Great effort by him to get in, because Highlands defended the play pretty well.

Your probably right. Just don't want people to think that it was a mysterious flag dropped 45 yards behind the ball. I even commented to a friend standing nearby that the Blueboys can't even catch a break on their own turf.....:thumb: Great game to watch because I didn't think Highlands had a chance in this one. At least they shouldn't in my eyes! Highlands Frosh have come a long way since Day 1....Vastly improving for sure!

No you can't.....

You are correct there sir! CCH always has a load of talent in the hallways.

Congrats to both teams on the game!

You know what's funny Woodland beat this CovCath team twice last year. So i think Scott probably has the most talent walking the halls at this age group..

Maybe - but, there are several key CCH players on this year's team that did not play for CCH as 8th graders. Two of the three TDs scored yesterday by non-CYF 8th Graders. Off the top of my head, there are 8-10 kids in the rotation that were not part of the program last year.

Totally not game related but did CCH have a sleep over Tuesday night? Why did every other kid on the sideline last night apparently Varsity players have Pajama bottoms on? There were several other kids there last night wearing the same thing. What is that? Is that a "Thingy" at CCH?

That's why they are the "crazies"! Lol!
