Blue team? How was it? Based on how you guys split talent it usually hurts in these kind of games, but NewCath only has 18 or so. Figured you guys would take it.

 

Yes we do split up the 3 teams evenly via a Blind draft and it hasn't hurt the 3 teams drastically just yet. We do play Campbell's all 8th grade team this Sat and it should be a different story. We consist of 14-7th graders and 11-8th graders. We shall see.....

 

The final from Sat was HHS Blue 28-NCC 6....

You can't possibly gauge any boys under 10th grade seriously because most of them hit their growth spurts then. I was great in middle school and didn't hit my growth spurt until 11th grade and by then it was too late so i went from starting both ways in MS to being bench player in 9th and 10th grade at 5'8" and 135 lbs. You never know what happens with kids. Plus like Mexitucky said, lots of kids come from NKYFL and Thunder who plays in BCYFL. I am not worried. I think B.W. has held his cards close to his chest so far just so some people would be lulled into thinking HHS is down. Then, when you don't expect it you are down by 4 scores in the fourth quarter struggling to just keep it respectable. Birds are fine chicken little!

I know of 1-2 8th grade studs who are excellent multi-sport athletes and could (optimal word here) opt our of the 24/7 365 football requirements.

 

Not a problem, there have been many dual sport athletes who have been successful.
