after reading this thread about the scheduling of games.. I asked my son who plays for SK why they have the same exact sched. as last year just at the other teams field. He stated that they set their sched for 2 years?? does anyone know if this is true? When SK played Holy Cross last year they where state champions the year B4. Collins was State runner up and i believe NCC was in the mix somewhere as well..in their respective classes of course. looking forward to someone answer to the question "are sched set for 2 years"

 

Yes, the scheduling was done for two years at the completion of the 2011 season, when the team was 2 - 9. I believe the 2 year cycle is the same across the state.

Yes, they are usually 2 year contracts so the schedules are usually the same 2 years in a row but switch fields is the only difference. It makes for easier scheduling and gives each team a home gamed urging the contract.

Sure is quiet in here! So who is the stud RB for Ryle? They usually have one really good RB. What are his stats like?

If this game was played between last years freshmen teams.....Ryle prevails! Not sure how quickly they have matured and why the great "disconnect continues?"

I know the deal. Just thought I'd remind everyone that even mighty Highlands can't control their own schedule. To your third point, SK has pulled starters in blowouts. I'll be interested to see if the new regime in Cake City will do the same or if they'll try to get 100 on Harrison.

Hmmmm...I was at the Camp Co game last year and witnessed the game clearly in hand for SK and watched Kuntz still in the game and throwing 60yd passes downfield and actually throwing a TD pass after one of those long connections with about a minute left in the game. After witnessing that game, it was no wonder SK stats are so good. Not sure if that has changed this year, but I hope so.

 

Our staff would NEVER run up the score intentionally. Too much respect for their opponents...no matter who it is.
