I wonder how FB Austin Hatfield from Belfry fits into this discussion?

 

As a true runner he may be the most unstoppable force behind Harris.

 

Definitely doesn't blow you over with his speed or athleticism, but he is by far the best FB in the state and an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses. What I think about when quantifying this statement I think what Running Backs you could plug onto any team in the State, against any competition, and they would still have the biggest impact.

1. Harris- Mad.Southern

2. Holman- Bourbon County

3. Baker- Ashland

4. Brooks- Trinity

5. Hatfield- Belfry

I think Hatfield is very good at what he does but by your own argument he would not be a top 5 back in the state. He's great at the dive play but I don't think he'd be nearly as effective in a spread offense that uses stretch plays.

Agree on the Beasley kid from North Oldham. That kid is fast and really tough to take down. Watched him personally a couple weeks ago vs. CAL and had 9 rushes for 151 yards and 2 TDs.

Gotcha now, I just misunderstood. Personally I have Nero as the number 2 back in the state.

After last night he's on track for a 1,700 yard rushing regular season whew! Not to mention all of the other TDs he's accounted for with this Wildcat scheme they've been running... do we have a new Mr. Football challenger in our midst???!! If someone has his total stats now so far please post, if not I will try and put them together.

Wow. He has thrown 2 TD passes this season too. I know he had the trifecta last night. Running, passing and receiving TDs. I had always heard how good he was going to be, this season he is really shining.

OK, here are Brooks's stats according to Trinity's website:

 

Rushing: 137 Attempts, 847 Yards, 12 TD's, 6.18 yds/carry

 

Receiving: 6 receptions, 100 yards, 1 TD

 

Passing: 3 completions, 51 yards, 2 TD's
