The 4A State Champion will be the winner of HHS and CovCath.

I like your confidence. I don't share it but I like it.

I'm thinking Owensboro may have something to say about that.

I thought you said we already know who is going win in every class except 6A.

I've heard that somewhere before.

I never said that. Post #8 is what I said and that is that 4A is as strong as it has been.

I've heard that somewhere before.

Past 7 out of 8 yrs it has been true..

I thought you said we already know who is going win in every class except 6A.

1A-Mayfield

2A-DeSales

3A-Belfry

4A-Highlands/CovCath/Owensboro/Boyle County/LexCath

5A-BG/Pulaski County

6A-Male/Trinity

2008-2009-2010 Cov Cath had it's playoff runs ended by Johnson Central

2011-2012 Beaten by Highlands in playoffs and season

2013 Collins wins state title

Until CovCath proves it can win and GET to the state finals, that's a lost argument. Hell it can't even get to Highlands 1/2 of the years. Cov Cath has a great program, but the we're number 2 chant only resounds with them and other NKY people. I would agree the 2011 and 2012 teams POSSIBLY were the 2nd best team, but we'll never know. We do know they weren't in 2008-2010 and 2013.

In all fairness to CovCath fans it's usually non-CovCath fans who call them #2. Normally CovCath fans are brutally honest about how good they think their team is. Their silence now is intriguing and IMO they are waiting for the Highlands game before they begin talking.

I have seen these CovCath kids that are sophs-seniors play since pee wee football. I will say this group of Colonels are as talented as they have been at CCH in a while. I think CCH goes on a little run starting this year or next. JMO

Owensboro in 4A = Caldwell Co. in 2A

LexCath is 1-3

You dismiss CAL in 2A. You do know that CAL beat DeSales in the regular season last year, right?

If you look at the top 15 schools, 2A has to be the most competitive class in the state.

I didn't dismiss CAL. I said whoever wins that game wins state. I am picking DeSales to win state.

LexCath is 1-3 and oddly enough no one in 4A has beaten them this year. To dismiss LexCath in 4A because they lost to BG(3 time 5A state champs on a 48 game wining streak), Bryan Station(scared Highlands) and Lafayette(scared defending 6A champ Scott County) would be a mistake.

If Owensboro can put up 34 points on BG they can score 34 on anyone in 4A. Has Caldwell County played against a defense like DeSales or CAL yet?

2A may be competitive. I feel like 4A is competitive also. Doesn't mean it is weaker than ever.

Maybe. The fact that Owensboro has emerged as a contender for the 4A title tells me 4A is as strong as it was last year.

Mayfield will win 1A.

DeSales or CAL will likely win 2A.

Belfry will win 3A.

BG or Pulaski County will win 5A.

6A has at least 3 teams that can win it and their playoffs look to be exciting this year.

Whom are your 3 6A teams that can win it?

Whom are your 3 6A teams that can win it?

I did say at least 3 teams. However, before I got the Manual information I had Male, Trinity and Scott County. I think based on what you provided earlier that Manual deserves to be considered a contender as well.
