Exactly! Any decent crew would have given both a Sideline warning to establish control of the game. Joe and Jack both know how to walk that fine line.

On 3 occasions that we saw on the tv replay today Jack threw his visor on the field and on one of them he was kicking it while chewing on a refs ear. I enjoyed watching that and see nothing wrong with it unless a hanky flies. From my standpoint both sides had a lot to be upset with the refs about but I think Mayfield got the worst of it but it did not cost us the game as we had numerous chances to win it

Great game. One of the best I have ever seen. Congratulations to MC on the win. Scary watching your son lay on the field and not move. He said he got hit and couldn't feel his arms. He sat out the next series and then was ready to go. The boys answered a lot of questions last night and made the rest of 1A take notice!

The call I couldn't figure out was on a Mayfield punt return. Two players get into a tiff after the play, and just before it too goes far they both begin to walk away. A second Mayfield player comes in and shoves the McCracken player in the upper pads/neck/facemask area and the ref (who was right there watching) immediately tosses his flag. Looks like they caught the second man in and Mayfield is going to get a personal foul. The call ends up being a block in the back against Mayfield on a seperate call and a personal foul on McCracken. BTW, I'm not saying the Mayfield kid did anything dirty it was just typical football stuff.

Best Game of the year IMO. Mayfield got what it needed from that game going forward...to have to reach down that deep so early in the year is awesome. MCHS wont have to play that hard the rest of the regular season and that's saying more for Mayfield than anyone else.
