Tough job for anyone b/c of who else is in that district. Calvary had a little run there a few years ago but Brossart, Scott, and Campbell make it tough for Grove and Calvary.

Would probably be Highlands.

If Silver Grove was consolidated it would be merged into Campbell County. I believe that's been discussed before and the community rallied against it. Basically the opposite of what resulted with Monticello and Wayne Co.

 

Anyone have any tangible names of candidates?

If Grove ever consolidated, Dayton would make the most sense. Demographically and geographically. I was under the impression that for awhile SG youngsters played for Dayton in the youth football league. There are already a lot of connections among those 2.

 

Now, I don't think Grove is closing any time soon barring being forced to.

 

But that's just my two sense.

How many total students at SG? Is there an opportunity there to keep an elementary school/middle school and send the HS kids to Campbell? Prolly belongs in the consolidation thread but it would solve their revolving door with coaches.

What about someone like Steve Hunt for this job? Could Bob Seiter be lured back into coaching for this job? Would Kevin Nieporte be interested in this job if given the chance to return to coaching?

A good source informs me someone was hired today, he got the call about the new hire an hour ago, but wouldn't tell who it was. :banghead:
