I couldn't imagine having to have basketball every day. An hour practice once a week was bad enough. And it goes from October to March. I don't know how coaches do it.

A good source informs me someone was hired today, he got the call about the new hire an hour ago, but wouldn't tell who it was. :banghead:

He had just recently retired from Cincinnati Country Day.

Interesting hire! Welcome to the 10th Region and the 37th District, Coach Brownstein.

 

Having coached for 29 years and averaging over 17 wins per season, says he is more than qualified. However, Silver Grove isn't Cincinnati Country Day, and getting the players to accept him and what he brings to the table, could be his biggest challenge. IF the players buy in and accept him, it could be a great experience for both parties. However, if they cling to the former undisciplined run/shoot, wide-open style of ball that they are used to, it could be a very frustrating experience for both parties.

 

I made some comments earlier in this thread as to what I thought the new coach needed to emphasise in order for the Trains to be successful this season. I will add to that - LIMIT TURNOVERS!!!
