However, it's no secret that down the road when today's youth are your age and then my age they may not have the same patience/appreciation as you. My son played baseball. He can't sit for 3 hours and watch a game.

Has he ever seen them win anything?

He is 21. He enjoyed playing the game. Reds fan. Just doesn't have the patience to watch many 3 hour games. I think that is more of a factor of age than whether he played or not.

August 23, 201412 yr Most people can't even drive their car without paying attention to an electronic device. Remember when baseball parks consisted of seats and a field, now they contain restaurants, rides and pools. Today's generation doesn't seem to be able to do anything other than multi-task.

Plus, with us being so expensive to eat and drink at a park, the faster the game, the less money I spend.
August 23, 201412 yr Author Most of Tom Browning's games went fairly quickly, but I remember one (can't remember who he was matched up with, but they were both fast workers)...seemed to me we got out of there in about two hours. It was like a completely different game. Watching a lot of Indians games growing up, I saw Mike "the human rain delay" Hargrove play. Absolutely, 100% no-doubt...if he played today, he wouldn't have that nickname...because EVERYBODY does it. THIS is the number one thing that could be addressed, and accomplish two things...one, it speeds up the game...and two, it does nothing to impact the commercial lengths (so no revenue is lost).
