This is a very good possibily. Is Beth in the comic? I'm thinking no and we all know Daryl isn't so they could take those two with Carol and go in an whole different direction because they arnt in the comic (besides Carol)and they can add a storyline that isn't in the comics also. Just me thinking out loud.

The clip that was shown on Talking Dead had Sasha going out to presumably look for Bob.

 

But I agree that there will likely be a Beth-focused episode in the near future.

When they took the car they busted out the tail lights. I'm guessing headlights were already gone?

I was under the impression that the theories were that cutting his leg off saved him and makes them sick...which leads me to believe they ate off of the body part that was bitten.

As with Dale in the comics, my guess is that Bob was bitten, but I don't think it was necessarily on the leg.

 

Even if Bob was bitten in the leg & they cut it off to eat it, it's too late to save him. You have to cut the extremity off ASAP in order to stop the spread of the virus (or whatever it is) to the rest of the body. That's what they did with Hershel in the prison--cut the leg off quickly to keep the rest of the body from being contaminated.

 

Either way, Bob's gone soon IMO.

Talking with some people at work today we discussed the fact that the car that kidnapped Beth and then drove by last night had a cross in the back window. I'm starting to think there is more to Gabriel than being a coward. He may be working with a group using the church for cover.
