July 22, 201412 yr First time off shore. Granted we only went 12 miles out, we had a blast. Caught scads of amberjack, not in season, but an absolute blast. Caught them on topwater after we chummed them off the wreck. Seriously, makes stripers look like sissies once they are hooked. Brutal fighters. These are the ones we kept to eat the second trip. Red snapper and a couple of black jacks. We caught some king and spanish mackerel the first trip but weren't fans of them when we ate them at the condo. The snapper, on the other hand, are as good as they get.

July 22, 201412 yr Author Fished out of Panama City. There are so many wrecks out there and all of them hold fish. It's pretty amazing. I highly recommend it. I knew the youngest wouldn't have seasickness issues, but wondered about the oldest. We all did fine. Seas got a little rough for a couple hours the last day. Other than that, nothing. I highly recommend it.

July 22, 201412 yr I've done the charter a few times with my boys. Fun time. My son's all-time vaca highlight was hooking a shark that weighed about 80 pounds near Charleston, SC. It's one of those parent moments that you'll never forget.
July 22, 201412 yr We went once in the FL Keys. Got off the boat where the crew fisleted the fish for us where we then walked to the restaurant about 50 feet away where they fried it up for us.

It's one of those parent moments that you'll never forget. It's funny what they like the most. My oldest thought the flying fish were the highlight. Now, he caught a 25lb amberjack that took about 15 minutes to land and thought watching the flying fish was the best part. Love it.
