Seems like he really wanted to stay home, so good for him. I tend to think it's a good thing for a young man to make the college decision before the senior year of high school begins.

IMO, Trinity has a real chance of being nationally ranked this season, and having a Louisville commit only helps.

Yeah that wasn't a surprise with this. There are an awful lot of tall gentlemen slated to be on the bench at Louisville next season, though I have to imagine one of the seven-footers is likely destined to be a transfer.

And of course, a huge congratulations to Spalding. Go Shamrocks. Go Cardinals.

 

I'm thrilled by the prospect of likely the two highest-rated local recruits (not named D'Angelo Russell) of the last few years in Snider and Spalding deciding to stay here in Louisville. I think they've both got the chops to become excellent players at UofL.

I first saw Ray when he was a frosh playing JV for T. I was at PRP and wondered who the long, gangly kid was.

Once he gets in a college weight program and gets a mean streak, he is going to be tough to stop. A lot of potential and upside and a great kid both on and off the court. Consistency is his biggest issue right now but I think that will improve over time.

At times he is very aggressive and dominates at both ends. Other times he simply goes through the motions. The skill and talent is there...consistency is the biggest worry I have with him.

Well, I have seen Ray play one time... 2 weekends ago against my son's team. I was very, very impressed. He looked great and played fierce on both ends of the floor. His team, The Ville, won by 9.

 

This weekend I got to see ESPN's #14 ranked player, 6'9 Carlton Bragg... I was not impressed at all. This kid was NOT aggressive on either end of the floor. He finished the game with about 4 points/ My son's team beat his OBC team by 13.
