Anyone have an idea of how 5th region officials might affect the tournament?

CCH because of Listerman.

CCH will win, but not because of Listerman!! Give Schlarman equal talent and he'll win easily, but that's not the case again this year. Superior talent and depth will win for CCH--Coach L's got it and the others don't. As I said earlier, they've already had their toughest playoff game!!

CCH is a different team now and playing alot better. I still think this will be a great game with CCH pulling it out by 4-10pts.

Here are my picks:

Dixie over Holmes

NCC over Conner

CovCath Over Ryle

Highlands Over Ludlow

Semis

Dixie Over NCC

CovCath over Highlands

Finals

CovCath over Dixie

I think you've got it pretty close, except I see Conner knocking off NCC; and Holmes could still rally to win a rather easy side of the draw, but the winner of that game cruises to the final!!

Lets say, If an outcome comes down to an end of game decision, I don't think Listerman wins the game for CCH.

Now that we can agree on.

They let Vories just dribble out top,( I told my wife with 10 sec. left that CovCath was making a mistake by letting Vories take a winning shot) until he decided to make his move. Definetly a clutch shot, but not tough. I think Jeff will take an uncontested 10 foot jumper any day. Hindsight is 20/20, a double team or even denying the ball from Vories may have been the way to go. I guess I did contradict myself. Lets say, If an outcome comes down to an end of game decision, I don't think Listerman wins the game for CCH.

If CCH had won, it wasn't Listerman. Since CCH lost, it is Listerman's fault. I wouldn't want to be a coach at any level if that's the case.

Vories stepped up and made a clutch shot that, as gryche said, he has been shooting his whole life. Kudos to him for taking his team on his back.

In a future match up I think CCH wins. Coach L instructed the boys in the previous game to watch Highlands from 3 land. Nothing against Highland's players but the 3 is not their strength. I know that whoever guarded Ben G was instructed to not let him shoot the 3, opening the lane for Vories to take over, as he did. If Highlands is to win they will need a big game from their supporting cast. IMO it will be like Duke-UNC last night, where UNC's "role" players stepped up more than Duke's, and the Tar Heels won.

Why have most people wrote off Conner against NCC? During the regular season Conner fell to them by only 2 after blowing a 17 point lead at half. And, this was before they started playing better.

Good point, they are on a roll. Did Heil play in that game?

Heil has been gone for a long time actually, no he didnt play in that game. Conner lit it up in the 1st half of that game and NCC was cold as ice and they didnt take advantage of Keirnan. IN the 2nd half NCC came out and pressed the Cougars and got back in the game giving them a shot down the stretch. I think Keirnan had a bunch of 2nd half points. I was not impressed with Curry in this game atleast the 1st half which is all I saw... he looked great in pre-game with the dunks but he could not stop Keirnan and when Keirnan wants to score he pretty much can. Conner will have to build a fence around Keirnan and hop the Breds are not raining 3's.

You are definitely entitled to your opinion, that is what makes this forum so nice. I will agree that HHS needs some other players to step up this time and make a difference for them to win and get to the final past CCH. Listerman has them playing well and they are pretty deep. I like the physicality of HHS over CCH though and rebounding and defense will win this game. period

Agreed it will be rebounding and defense, and, barring no major upsets, we shall see in less than week! Should be one for the ages.

I dont know who the favorite is in this region but i know that Cov Cath is who id like to see at rupp. You can not beat the Colonel Crazies at rupp

Holmes beat dixie AT dixie by 15 the first time they played...why do some people think just because Holmes gets beat by covcath that they are done and will get beat in the first round??

Heil, walked off the court a couple of weeks ago when NCC played Holmes, don't know if he was in trouble before that, but the Breds are better without him!
